Worked great out of the box and comes with a drill bit that is excellent for drilling accurate holes in wood. Tips: place a piece of painters tape on top of drawer in middle. Use measuring tape to find center of the top of drawer and mark on the tape. Center the template on mark - it rests on the top of the drawer and hangs in front of drawer. Use template holes to mark locations that correspond to your drawer pull. I had 3" pulls from Menards and the pre-drilled holes in the template lined up exactly. For the cabinet knobs, you use the long narrow template. In this case, I had to drill a hole in the template for the exact spot I wanted to use. The door template is reversible so you just flip it over to do opposite side doors using the same hole to drill through. Makes for quick and accurate installation by do-it-yourselfers!

This product looks like it will work for all installations, but I had ordered drawer/door handles from Costco and found that the holes provided in this template did not exactly match those on the handles, so I had to get close and extrapolate. (it did help with the vertical alignment for drilling on the doors, and the included bit with a pinpoint end was quite useful.) As to the horizontal measurement for placing the door handles, neither the distance between the two holes, nor the horizontal height worked on any of my 3 different drawer depths, so I just used it to assist with finding center lines and made my own jigs for proper drilling. Overall, it was of some use and much cheaper than the adjustable jigs, but don't assume that one of the holes/hole sets in this template will work for your particular cabinets.

Renovating my kitchen from the ground up and needed to mark the location for three different kinds of pulls. These tools perfect for that kind of precision. In my case, someone ELSE was doing the install, and I needed to only make a mark where the drill should be inserted, and these guides not very helpful, in all cases, in just making a mark through the holes (too small for a pencil point beyond flush). But, we made it work.

Bought this to put second hole while going from single knob to handle on kitchen cabinets, read instruction (not that I needed to since these templates are place and mark, not rocket science) placed the edge to edge of my standard cabinets, nothing custom, didn’t line up with the knob already there, which was centered perfectly on the cabinet, normal placement for a cabinet knob, tried both that came, neither worked at all, Really po’d because they’re normal cabinets, don’t know what imported cabinets these are designed for but they’re not made for standard cabinets. Eyeball, tape measure and pencil mark your placement, definitely will work better than this.

Save your money. This is not worth buying. You are limited on where you can place the handles (vertically) because of the piece of plastic that holds it against the cabinet top or bottom. I wanted my handles in line with the top of center panel and doing so was not an option using this template. I regret purchasing it

I installed all my cabinet hardware in no time.Accurate and worked well. I have zero carpentry skills.The bit that comes with is a great bit to do this application, but I was shot by the time I got done using it.

The template came quickly and worked as expected. However, the kit was supposed to have a drill bit, which was not included. It appeared the package had been opened or the seal broken allowing the drill bit to be lost.

These knobs were an affordable solution to making small upgrades with a big impact to my kitchen and bathroom. Each knob came with two different length screws and were easy to install with a phillips head screw driver.Would highly recommend!

I hadn't thought about this when I ordered it but it is really not helpful that this item isn't clear colourless plastic. When you are marking centre on your piece, and want to then line it up with the template, you cannot see any markings on your item though the template because of the blue colouring. If this thing was clear (without colour), so you could see pencil mark from your measurements through the template it would be perfect.

This tool is useless, am not sure if cabinets needs to be for play house? Small to be used for kitchen or any kind of cabinets.

Handle comes with 2 different bold lengths, however both where too long to install on the thin cupboard doors. I had to cut the bolts to the correct size (1/2").

I used this for our kitchen Reno. What a great product. Easy to use, and every cabinet pull is perfectly square!Would recommend this
