Psycho-Pass: Season One [Blu-ray]

No issues with disc set in any way.As for the show itself, its a thought-provoking crime thriller that follows the Inspector Akane in chasing a 'ghost' of the so-called 'perfect' system. With Kogami sticking to the tried and true methods now deemed 'obsolete' by this system unable to catch the enabling and acting criminal Makishima. Each episode still leads the epic finale of the season all while exploring rich philosophical themes and human psychology. One of the most insightful tv shows I've seen as a whole, and one of my all time favorite anime now. The most unique trait being every element of the show allows examining not only criminals but society and all the ideologies and philosophies that help compose it.

Easily one of the most gripping animes I have had the pleasure to watch. I watched the whole first season in a matter of days and loved every moment. I loved the plot, and the character inteinteractions. I especially loved Akane's development and her relationship with Kogami. Whether subtly romantic or not they had a very unique bond that was built upon trust and respect and during their last mission where she gives him her Dominator and takes his pistol filled me with so much excitement. Just the way they moved in synch and worked off each other, and the dialogue. I could go on and on but I haven't even talked about the villain. Makishima was an absolute joy as a villain. I especially loved the interactions between him and Kogami, and how they could read one another.Anyways this anime is amazing and I'm glad I saw it.

Fantastic show. One of the best anime to come around in a long time. Riveting plot and the characters are interesting. The politics and philosophy is well handled, and it has some great action scenes. Only problem is that the Blu Ray case arrived cracked and with wrinkles in the plastic. Would have preferred otherwise. Nonetheless, not Amazon's fault. Most likely a factory defect.

Soo, the blu rays play and the quality of the anime and sound is fantastic. My issues aren't with the series. One of the menus had this weird glitch where you could see the moving background through the gray part by the menu options. I replayed the disc I thought it was on and it was normal. The case quality is nothing special, be careful so that it holds up over time. That can be said in general for funimation collections. This is a small issue, but the previews you get (1 different show preview per disc), sometimes the audio (speaking) is majorly dwarfed by the music and I can't hear the speaking without turning it way up **NEW ISSUE: on the blu-ray disc 1, after watching the ep5 commentary, the menu disappeared. Like, the animation the runs behind it, that was the only thing there. No skipping allowed, no options to escape. WTH. Is this a glitch or??

Delivered sooner than expected, and in excellent condition (the product was new and never before opened, and the box wasn't damaged from shipping or anything). I'm really happy to finally have this in my collection!

This series is one of the best anime’s I have seen! The story is great & now owning it on blue ray- makes it 10x better with the original Japanese language & English Subs! I highly recommend it!!

Great Anime but the case arrived damaged (interior) so shipment didn't cause it.

This show is the best out there. It delivers on plot, characters, direction and so many other levels. As for the disk, it arrived on time and condition is as expected. I am more than glad to own this one.

Point blank, skip season 2 and the movie. As of writing this review they are a pointless retread of season one offering very little. You are better off reading the manga if you want more of the Psycho-pass world.This is a wonderfully crafted piece of anime, right up there in terms of quality with ghost in the shell. Not as good as stand alone complex which is a master piece. This is no slouch. Putting most modrrn anime series to shame.It is a world that invites you in and lets you explore its layered and nuanced world. With a conclusion that is tragic yet comforting all at the same time.Some of the twists and turns will leave you asking what just happened, while others are foreshadowed so heavily they may as well have been neon signs. But they are often missed because of the immersion in tjis world.Strap in and enjoy a wonderful cyberpunk offering that is worth of mention along side other greats of the genre, like ghost in the shell, blade runner, serial experiment lain and texhnolyze.

I prefer dub and even I thought it was a little weaker. Let that not dissuade you though, the show is smart, interesting, and if you're a fan of Blade Runner, Minority Report, Gattaca, 1984 (book or movie), anything by Philip K. Dick, Heart of Darkness (the book but you could argue even Apocalypse Now), Lupin the Third, and even Terry Gilliam's Brazil you're probably going to like this one

新品ということで購入しましたが、読み込み面に多量の脂と傷あり。中で外れかけたディスクもあり、到底新品とは呼べない代物でした。購入する方は注意して下さい。追記:傷のところで止まりました。完全に不良品ですので1点にします。
