Highly recommend
So funny watching my cat with this as a new toy. First, she didn't know what to make of it but then she started chasing it and she had a ball with it. It didn't quit after 3 minutes for ran continually for at least 10 and she chased it all over the living room. Great toy.

Great toy
Got this for my 2 kittens and it was a couple months ago. I didn’t want to review it without using it for awhile first. My cats absolutely LOVE this thing! I keep it charged for them, and Thts another great thing, u don’t have to buy batteries for it. I keep it charged and they chase this thing all night long, LOL. The one thing tht didn’t last very long was the feather tht was attached to it. The feather was gone the next day unfortunately, but they love it.

My cat watches only, still seems to enjoy it
My cat typically doesn't go for things that I'm not interacting with him, he loves his wands or if I roll a ball he'll go and get it like a dog and then I have to keep doing that. He's not a cat that plays with a mouse on his own and if something is catnip sure he'll grab it and chew on it until the catnipuff out wears off but otherwise he's not really interested. When I bought this for no reason at all I was thinking it was the size of a tennis ball. It's the size of a ping pong ball which you can clearly see if you look at any pictures. That was my fault because I thought that my cat would enjoy something a little bigger but I still charge to this when I got it to see if you would like it.It came with two attachments that you can put on the toy, one is a feathery attachment and the other is a little stuffed mousey. Personally I feel like adding these on to the ball or just a hassle, the little part that spins around to make the ball go in different directions ends up getting tangled up in it and although it will still move around it makes it less entertaining.I only charged it for an hour initially I don't know how long you're supposed to charge it for but I just wanted to try it with my cat right away to see if I was going to keep it. You push and hold the button for 2 seconds and you'll see it light up and it distinctive pattern and then you have to tap it decently hard to get it to start going.I have carpet in most rooms, and I read that some people said that the sound was irritating to them and if you have carpet it's a little bit better. If you picture anything hard plastic rolling on a non-carpeted floor that's the exact sound it makes. Like if you had a bottle rolling on your kitchen floor that's the sound that this will make if you don't have carpets or rugs. But the sound didn't bother me at all. But it was on the carpet it does make kind of a machine running sound because that's the type of toy it is. Again that didn't bother me or my cat at all.Once I got it going my cat was very interested in watching it trying to figure out what the heck it was. And he would kind of follow it around from a distance or jump up on the table to watch it. When you let this thing start going around you really need to keep an eye on it because there were a couple of times it turned itself off and I couldn't figure out where it was.It will go for 3 minutes without interaction before it stops. That means if you just let it roll around and it doesn't get tapped again, it will turn itself off probably so it's not wearing itself out and so you don't just drain the battery if your cat isn't paying attention to it. If your cat plays with it or if you tap it it will kind of start that timer over. So say you turn it on at 10:00 it will turn itself off at 10:03. But if you turn it on at 10:00 and your cat taps it at 10:02 then it will end up going until 10:05 and so on. I hope that that makes sense because initially I was like why is this thing keep stopping I thought it was the battery and then I realized oh okay it just doesn't want to run itself out. I was in the other room at one point and I heard it stop itself and then I continued doing something and about 5 minutes later I heard it running again. I realized that my cat had been watching it and then he went over to like make it move thinking it was just a regular ball and started right back up again. So that was pretty cool if you're going to leave it out in an area where you're not going to step on it or it's not going to get lost under some furniture I think it has a little bit of an internal time or where it will turn itself back on again within so much timeI don't really think that the light added anything at all to it for my cat except for me being able to notice where it was. And like I said the attachments you could give or take them. I don't think it really adds much and it's not necessary. I do like that you can charge it with your regular phone charger. It did come with a USB but nowadays we all have them so I don't even know if that was necessary.I had not really decided if I was going to keep it because like I was saying my cat doesn't really interact with it he just watches. But the more that I've turned it on the past couple days the more I realized that he does at least seem to enjoy watching it kind of just like how he'll watch The birds outside, so I'm going to give it a try every day for another week to see if it's still keeps his interest. If it does I'll pull it out a couple times a day and just let him watch it.

Cats emotional comfort toy?
I got this toy for my cat two years ago and its still going strong. Its one of his favorites. He'll even bring to me when it "dies" so it can be recharged.

Cat toy not as animated as inferred, lights too bright, runs in circles,...meh.....
Not overjoyed with this cat toy. I had seen a video or two elsewhere where similar toys would run along the baseboards and in different patterns. This one seems to only do circles and no out-and-out straight line runs. My cat actually will mostly just sit there and watch it...every now and then interacting with it. The flashing lights are a problem, too, I think. They are very intense in regards to brightness...I can't see this being healthy for my cat's eyes. I've thought about returning it (which I may still do) or either putting some black electrical tape over the lights.

Fun for dogs and toddlers too!
My cat was uninterested in this toy BUT the dog absolutely loved this toy! She is normally sedate but wow…her activity levels increased as she chased this fun toy! And bonus….the 10 month old loves this toy, too! He is discovering walking and has mastered crawling but he zooms fast as he chases this toy! So this is a success!
