Beauty Pop, Vol. 1 (1)

I’ve always loved this manga, but when I decided to stop using the sketchy sites I used to use to read manga, I no longer had access to it. This copy arrived in great condition, and I’m so happy to be able to read one of my favorites again! It’s almost 200 pages, so the price I paid (less than $10) was more than fair. Very happy with my purchase!

Just like when I read this years ago it is still amazing and fun to read it keeps you want to see what happens next

I ordered this volume along with three other volumes from the same series. Each of the books came to me in the described condition, new. They were in great condition; no nicks, bends or tears anywhere. The covers were shiny and free from finger prints (except my own I made during observation.) They all arrived within the estimated delivery time frame and were packaged well.5 out of 5 stars.

It has a good storyline, there are ups and downs but they manage to work them out.It would've been better if the main character, Kiri was more pretty, quick witted and a bit devious.

this book has all the crazy you can get this must be the best i mean i've read better but its worth a million dollars but don't u dare raise the praise amazon or else i'll leave but any way this book is mostly amazing

I absolutely love this manga. I love the start of it and how nonchalant Kiri is. And how frustrated Shogo Narumi gets with her. He tries to egg her on and just be downright rude sometimes and Kiri doesn't even give him the time of day. Kazuhiko is another favorite of mine. I love how observant he is. And he's a bit manipulative to get Kiri to come to the festival and compete. Its absolutely hilarious watching the dynamic right now

Beauty Pop is a shoujo manga that focuses more on the subject matter than on romance. The early volumes are very similar to some other makeover manga, in that they don't have quite as much plot and each chapter centers around a different makeover. The later volumes involve more romance and more leveling up in the stylists' skills.My favorite thing about this manga is that, despite being a reverse harem shoujo series , the heroine is not constantly concerned about having a boyfriend or focused on romance. Actually, the best word to describe Kiri might be apathetic. Her hairstyle is practical not pretty, as are her clothes. She's sarcastic and disinterested. In fact, when the romance comes into the series, it's the boys who suffer from desperation not the female character, which is rather nice to see.The first time I read this, I remember being hugely disappointed by the way the romance turned out, as I had been rooting for an entirely different guy to win. This time through, prepared for the ending, I was more okay with it.Although not one of my favorite series, Beauty Pop definitely has good features and is worth a read for a shoujo fan. Recommended to fans of The Knockout Makers, Ouran High School Host Club or My Heavenly Hockey Club.
