neck line is a little too high, it feels like the shirt is on backwards.

Heavy weight warmth!
This Minus33 arctic wear long johns shirt is by far the warmest and best shirt I've ever owned and I'm s big fan of Ibex and Smartwool, but they don't hold a candle to the Minus 33 Arcticwear! A must have for severe cold weather, combined with goose down it's the best combination to keep comfortably warm.

Initial Review - Update to come early December 2015
***This is my initial review after receiving the package and wearing the product. I bought this for hunting season in PA as well as skiing season here in NJ, and will be able to test it further and update this review by the end of the year.I bought this product because I am tired of looking and feeling like the Michelin Man during hunting season with my puffy down clothes and multiple layers. (Bought together with Katmai Men's Expedition Bottom). I want this to be my base layer, and then simply wear my hunting jacket over it. Skiing I've never had a problem wearing just a t-shirt and a jacket and actually wind up sweating because of the movement and I am always warm in general. But something about sitting in one spot while hunting really lets the cold seep in. I won't be able to update this review with how well it performs until the end of 2015, but here are my initial thoughts:Packaging: The packaging is simple, compact, and came with no issues.Fit: I'm 5'5, 140 pounds and have a waist size of about 29/30 inches. I bought a small, and both this top as well as the small Katmai bottoms fit perfectly. Tight fitting (how I usually like my clothing, especially base layers), but extremely comfortable and hugs the body well. The only thing you may have a problem with is that the sleeves (as other reviews have mentioned) run a tad short. If you stretch your arms out for example, your wrists may become exposed a bit. I love the fit, and this isn't an issue for me. Just throwing it out there for someone who may not feel the same.Warmth: I noticed as soon as I put these on, my entire body felt cooled down. This to me is a good thing, as it means instead of just trapping heat and moisture, the wool is allowing my body to breath while still retaining heat. To confirm this, I took everything off and felt the inside and they were very warm to the touch.Quality: The quality of the product is very good. The material feels good, looks good (good enough that you could actually wear this top in public with a nice pair of jeans and not feel strange about it) and even the tag is printed onto the shirt so there is nothing scratching at your neck.So far, I am very satisfied with this product. I will update when I can, and if it performs well I will be ordering more of different weights for the different seasons (even summer) because I really like the quality, fit, comfort, and breathability.

Very smooth and good quality
It's the first time I am going to a very cold place and I did my research so most bloggers talk about Minus33 as an excellent brand. I won't know how warm it keeps me till I get to the Artic place but I'll let you all know!

Great shirt for fall to spring!
Love this! I have a medium and heavyweight. I wear these as a base layer under a minus 33 short sleeve t shirt. Looks good, and keeps me super warm in winter! All I do is wear minus 33 hoody on top and even on days where it is 5F I am warm! Of course this is for driving in a cold car, going to stores, etc. If I was going to be outside for a prolonged time I would want more. But that is what I wear, also with the minus 33 bottoms, and I stay warm, I am never shaking cold while the car is heating up! And best of all, when I go inside, I am never too hot! I can wear this all day and never have to take on or off anything other than my coat (in my case the hoody, which I often just leave on as well inside). The fit is great. I am 5'11" and 160lbs. I have a small, and a medium. The medium is the size that fits the 'best', but the small is not tight at all, and it works out great for if I am out fishing, I will wear the small under the medium. The tshirts I have are larges. And they all just go on top of eachother perfect for as many layers as I want!I wash these with only other wools and dry them on low heat sometimes, but usually no heat tumble for a while then lay on bed till fully dry and put away. I have found the laundress cedar shampoo to be great! If I could change one thing, I would just make the sleeves about 1/2inch longer. They are just a bit on the short side for me, but not bad. Works well actually when I wear gloves cus they seem to just fit together nice.

Excellent product and perfect for my cold weather hunts!

Very nice
I bought a medium. The fabric is very nice and thick in comparison to other merino wool shirts. The fabric does not feel itchy on my skin and keeps me warm as a base layer.

Cant beat Merino Wool
These long sleeve Merino shirts (and its mid-weight cousins Minus33-Merino-Wool-Chocorua-Midweight) are excellent. I have one of these and four of the midweight version. Really comfortable and warm in our cold Canadian winters. I wear them under my cycling shirts on cooler mornings, they don't get cold when damp like synthetic materials. In winter I wear them under my Gore cycling jacket when Fat Biking on the snow trails. Even in -10 degrees celsius they are excellent, I've worn this heavier version when its been around -25 and its excellent. I tried a lot of product before settling in Merino wool, it's becoming quite a favourite with a lot of my cycling buddies. The other great thing with Merino Wool is because of the antibacterial properties you can wear them several days in a row and they don't smell. Some reviews say they itch, I've never found this an issue, the itching is very minor and stops after the first wash. I have bought a lot of clothing from Minus33, all of it has been really good.

So far so good
This is a quality product. I wore it several times while I was out cycling in cold, windy and stormy weather. It felt comfortable. I was never too hot nor too cold. Since it is thick, I assume it will last longer, too. Considering buying a couple of more of this, but lighter weight for different temperatures.

Excellent quality and value.
This is a thick, well made, excellent value, heavy thermal. I use it as a sweater with another layer underneath. It's a true to size fit for me. I'm six foot, 175 lb, thin person and a medium fits perfect. For extreme backpacking I'd say it's a little heavy to carry around and you'd get more warm to weight ratio from a down "sweater" allot of the brands are putting out these days like the Patagonia Down Sweater. But for every day cold weather activity, this is a well made, thick, layer at excellent value.

GREAT QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE
This a very high quality sweater. That said, my use is aN additional mid layer on really cold days when I hike. It breathes well and certainly adds warmth. I've shopped around at various sports stores and have had hands on of other similar products. This is a top shelf product and highly recommend it.
