These metal knobs replace the old knobs rather nicely for a low cost. They seem almost a tad oversized, but before long, you won't care much. Quite often, when using a Dutch Oven with these on them, cooking on the stove, you will find that you might not need oven mitts to take the lid off, for a quick stir, or checking on you food. Although, you will still need oven mitts when taking same Dutch Oven out of the oven, as they will be hot.Note, these are likely not solid all the way through, as they seem hollow, with a nut welded in on the bottom, but they seem rather sturdy. Also, they come with extra washers and spacers if that is what you need for some reason. As for my Le Creuset Dutch Oven, all it needs is the Knob, and the Screw (which is angled to fit the pots design. It worked well for that pot, as well as a cheap Dutch Oven I got years ago at Fred Meyer (Kroger) for $20. They did the job. Decent for a low price.

I have 2 Le Creuset cast iron pots with the plastic knobs. The problem is that I can't use these for baking because of the heat limitation of the plastic. I bought two of these and they are inexpensive, attractive, and work perfectly. Great purchase.

I hated the black plastic nobs on my pans, and when one broke, I was so happy to find these strong and handsome nobs to replace and spruce up my le cruset pans. These are timeless and good looking. A very affordable, chic and practical upgrade.

The handle I purchased used a M5X1.00 screw specification. I needed a handle with an M6X1.25 specification. None of the handles offered on this page included the screw specification. The failure of the manufacturer(s) to provide this information served as a egregious disservice to their customers.

Glad I got 2, one was defective (the screw hole was not drilled) so only 3 stars, the one that did work worked perfectly so I am sure it was just a bad one that slipped through the screening process.
