L'Oreal ParisSuperior Preference Mousse Absolue, 830 Medium Golden Blonde

I am surprised at the poor reviews. I used a very light blonde shade, #1000. Maybe the blonde shades perform better than the dark ones. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was the ammonia smell. I have been coloring my hair for a long, long time and haircolor always used to smell like this, so it didn't bother me. I followed instructions exactly for touch-up. It was fairly easy, no harder than touch ups with any other type of colorant.My hair is long, but there was plenty of colorant to do it with one package. When finished, I thought the result was so pretty! The color was beautiful, and almost glowed. And my hair felt silky and smooth.I went out to supper that night and received lots of compliments. Since then, even strangers have stopped and complimented my hair. The pretty results lasted for about three weeks, then started to oxidize into a goldish tone. This always happens to my haircolor, but this one lasted longer. For example, the Olia lasted all of a week.I have only used it once, but plan to continue unless it appears that the ammonia is causing damage (which I doubt.). I was very pleased with the result.

Package arrived through mail instead of at home. Had a puncture in it, did not work, woould not express product .

When I grew weary of spending $250 per month for color and cut at my local salon, I started using this product. That was about 3 years ago. One day I could no longer find the Mousse Absolue on the Walmart or Target shelves. Thank goodness I am have been able to find it on Amazon. I am currently finishing the supply I bought last summer with no problem with shelf life. I just purchased 5 more boxes. For my hair, I can get to 2 applications. It covers my grey perfectly every time and leaves my hair shiny and soft. I can't say enough good things about its ease of use. I wonder why all hair color isn't sold this way. I can't tolerate the mixing required with other colors. I tried to use the other L'oreal product for my hair color but it did not color as well nor did it shine and it was a hassle. Unfortunately, I think L'Oreal discontinued this product so I stock up when i can on Amazon.

As an African American with mixed gray, grade 3 hair that rests on my shoulder; I am pleased with the hair color. I achieved total color coverage for four weeks. I wil use the remaining color on 5/22/2021. I have ample color left over for a total touch-up. If the despensing canester is shaken and held according to the WRITTEN DIRECTIVES the product will provide coverage. All of the video demonstators failed to hold the canister correctly and wasted the product. The videos demonstrators have the hair dripping with colorant; this is not necessary for full color saturation. I watched 4 different videos; each woman held the canister improperly. There were varying lengths of hair and every woman waisted product. This product is great if you can read and follow written directives; don't over do it. Currently, the price is not bad; I have ordered more.

I have used this hair color all over, and other times, I have applied it to a brush then brushed it through my hair to either color grey or freshen up my color, then saved the rest for another time. Most hair colors once you mix the ingredients you have to discard any unused color, but not this one! Therefore, you get more for your money... Which is good b/c I have noticed I am paying more for this now that I can't seem to find it in any stores; I have only found it online.

L'oreal Paris Superior Preference Mousse hair color does not work. Worst hair color I've used. Should have listened to the other Amazon reviewers, as well as numerous other websites and even on L'oreal's own website! I left a review on Loreal's website for this product a couple of months ago and now can't even find this product (or reviews) there, so assume that there were so many complaints that they're discontinuing it? But cosmetics companies are always discontinuing products, so that's nothing new.Followed the directions and even left the hair color (400 Pure dark brown) on longer to help dye the gray hairs, but this mousse formulation did not color my hair well and left the gray hairs gray. Couldn't tell that my hair was colored. Other Loreal hair dye/color products work fine. If you want a mousse type hair dye that does work, try their Sublime Mousse as it works for me, unlike this Superior Preference Mousse. The pump idea is good (use only what you need, good for touch ups, etc. so no waste) but I used the whole bottle of Superior Preference Mousse and didn't get any results!

Its a nice change to move to a mousse occasionally and this was as easy to apply as other mousse coloring products.The positives are:Easy to Assemble..pop lid on and shakeComes with a good conditionerColor comes out greatNegatives:When you shake it to reapply, if there's any mousse on the bottle it gets sprayed all over. Wipe after you spray each time..Although I love tons of conditioner when coloring my hair, this one seems to have an extra dose of it in the actually hair dye.I rinsed for awhile and then conditioned. My haor felt somewhat oily still when I was finished rinsing, and when I went to dry it, there was still what felt like a ton of oil in my hair. I have to actually take another shower and get the leftover product out. Its not the dye, because my hair rinsed clear when I was done with my shower.I like that it was easy to comb through after rinsing, but now I have to wash it again so it's not so oily.All in all, it was easy to use, except for the little dye spots that flew around when I shook it..I haven't decided if I would reorder it again or not, I'll make that decision after I wash it again.

This is a very effective product, and it was very easy to use.My hair stayed the same blonde for months!
