I took a chance on this candle for my boyfriend’s birthday gift. I normally only purchase items > 4.5 stars but the scent sounds perfect. It ended up being perfect. He loved it!

I believe this is an underrated candle in Manly Indulgences line up. I absolutely love the sent of Tailgate, more importantly my wife does as well. If you enjoy campfires, outdoors, or even a smokiness this is the scent. The fir balsam is key in this to not let the wood smoke and cypress get overpowering. I think this is a solid all year scent, as the fir is not to strong to be considered a Christmas only scent. Great scent, even burn, and I can't speak to the burn time, as I wasn't keeping track, but it felt around 50 hours.

This Wingman scented candle is amazing. The first one I purchased I put in my downstairs bedroom on an electric warmer lamp. By the next day, my entire 1800 square foot house smelled like this fresh, masculine, cozy, clean scent…I have gotten so many compliments and people wanting the name of the candle! On the candle warmer lamp 24/7, the scent lasted so good, easily for a month plus, where it would still welcome you as soon as you walked in the house! I know I will be staying stocked up on these…def a great value for the $$!! A perfect gift idea…they will be hooked!

I love this manly woodsy scent, a bit sensual yet fresh. It burns all the way to the sides of the jar (which is great!) if you don’t blow it out too soon. However, when I first light it, it puts out a lot of black soot and that’s why 4 stars not 5. Soot is nasty and even though I recommend this as a good scent and long burning candle be aware that it produces black SOOT. And yes, I trim my wicks before each lighting. Also, it soots a bit after you extinguish it so make sure to put the lid on right after you put it out or sit it under your kitchen oven exhaust afterwards to pull the smell out and not let that blown out candle smell fill the air. I do recommend even with the sooty issue

I wish that i had taken pictures of the burned wicks! TWO OF THEM. I bought two of these candles and one was in a bubble wrap pouch, unsealed - no problem, and the second was in a sealed plastic bag. I really don't care how it was packaged as long as it gets to me fine, but BOTH candles had been previously used. Now, there's something about lighting a candle the first time, and I admit to that silliness. But more than just being disappointed that i was robbed of that experience, I was very upset that this company either felt it was acceptable to "refurbish" a CANDLE or was not on top of quality control/checking returns.The smell wasn't the greatest either. It's labeled as Fresh Shave, but I could not smell the "fresh". It actually smelled like body odor. Perhaps that is why there were at least two returns haaaah, and I was the unlucky recipient. I've returned the two and am waiting for my refund. I hope the company makes good on this.I also ordered a Woodland Escape scent, and that candle is awesome...and brand new! It smells like Christmas, sort of... like a forest. Since that one arrived UNUSED, I ordered another. I have one at home and one in the workplace restroom. When my coworker saw the candle, he exclaimed that he has a different scent but from the same company. So, I guess it's hit or miss with Manly Indulgence. I'm aware that nothing is perfect, but what are the odds that both my candles of the same scent were used?

I collect perfume and other things, like nail polish and candles. Like perfume, not all are created equal. Candles are pricy in general, good or bad, so I hate to trial and error through them, as it isn't cheap. I will say, I've never purchased a candle from MI that I didn't like. They smell amazing, last a long time, look asthetically pleasing, and have a lot of scents to choose from. Can't really go wrong with these. If you're on the fence, just buy one to start, it won't be your last lol!

The candle wick for these candles don't burn cleanly and can leave a lot of grey smoke if you leave them lit too long. I've had my smoke alarm go off due to the smoke left from the wick. There is also the issue of little sparks that can fly off when you blow out the candle. The other brands like Glade scented candles don't really give me these types of issues.

This is my second time ordering this candle. It has a great orange-y smell to it, that fills a room.

I like the fresh scent, I burn it after supper.

Smells very nice, just wished if it's a bit stronger.
