I love this litterbox (as silly as it sounds). I’ve bought a few of them over the past 10 years as after a few years of kitty claws, they get progressively harder to completely clean, but I keep buying this one.The price is great, and the product is durable. Most of all, I LOVE the design. The tray/grate drastically reduces litter tracking, and the split hood is fabulous because I can detach it so that the box is covered but the cat doesn’t have to push through to get in and out. The bigger hole makes it feel more accessible for the cats, but leaves the box inaccessible to nosy dogs.The one design flaw (so minor it doesn’t detract from my five stars) is the little grooves/corners towards the front. There’s a part where the sides flare out briefly before the front of the box, and if a cat urinates in that corner with clumping litter, it can be a little difficult to dislodge. But, like I said, such a minor flaw.

My mom's cat would always get too close to the edge when peeing, going on the floor. This is a wonderful solution. And it's the perfect balance between roomy and compact.It would have gotten 5 stars if it was a sifting design. We use pine pellets (better for respiratory systems- both the cat's and ours) and so what I do is nestle it in a sifting box.. this also adds security from tipping over as the pine pellets (go to a Feed store- they're equine bedding pellets 40 lbs for $6 and healthier for cats) are lighter than the clumping stuff.I truly see no use for the inside hook ?I have 2 other boxes for My 2 boys who were Tall Tinklers & sprayed the wall- they are "hat box"-shaped and a bit more stylish but I gotta say, overall I prefer the locking lid & rectangular design. 😀👍👍

I’ve used several kinds of cat litter boxes and there was always something I just did not like about them. The open top tray variety was always messy as the kitties liked kicking sand upwards and it always made its way outside of the box in waves. I tried a tray with top/hood variety and the cats urine would often collect in the ridges where the lid and tray would join which was also gross and messy. Then I tried this litterbox and things changed— no more sand kicked out of the box because the walls were tall. My older cat likes to kind of “stand” upright when he poops and the top of entryway certainly facilitated this. And because the top was grated, there was less litter tracking. I LOVE this, so I got 2 and my cats are happy and less messy.

I love the slick surface on the bottom. This alone makes it one of the best litter boxes. My cat pees a lot due to diabetes. So he will put massive clumps on the bottom of the box. But it won’t cement to the bottom anymore ... it slides off with ease. He also likes to jump in the box & pee right away. So the high sides prevent pee from getting all over the wall & floors.Our second cat used to be a wall scrapper but quickly learned that he can't do that with this box because for some reason the high wall attachment does not actually attach into place. It just rests on the litter box. Only took a couple of times for him to realize that the walls were not stable & it hasn't been an issue sense. But I don't love that it's not secure. However, it does make cleaning it easy. Last thing ... the scooper that comes with is small with big sifting sections. So little bits would need a finer scoop. It is really sturdy though! Overall, every con also has a pro & we really haven't had any major issues with the things we don't like. So, it's a keeper.

We have three cats and three litter boxes. This one needed to go into a small powder room, so I had to find just the right size. Yes, it's small, but it works for our big boys just fine. The high sides are nice and the scoop that comes with it is surprisingly pretty decent. Kind of a small version of our favorite lift and scoop scooper. The top DOES snap in place despite what some say. At first I wasn't sure, but if you press against the side it snaps on and stays on. I think that grip is "user error". My only gripe is that if you have a stand and pee cat, urine gets trapped between the top and bottom pieces, so I have to take it apart and wipe it out each daily scooping. However, it does NOT leak out onto the floor. It stays in between, which is good. Most boxes have weird edges and nooks to clean around and this one is no exception. However, It's not as bad as some boxes. Again, if you need to fit a box into a smaller space, this is a good dependable box.

Originally, I bought two of these because I have three cats and a Shih Tzu, my Shih Tzu likes to try to eat the litter. I got these and hopes that it would prevent him from being able to do so. It did!It also has helped lessen the amount of litter in the cats kick out as well as the litter getting on the floor when they get out. The other thing that helped with is my male Maine coon loves to play too much and always harasses my very small female cat when she’s using the litter box, this has prevented him from harassing her when she goes to the litter box. I love these litter boxes, the only regret i have is not making my life easier by getting these sooner.

I recently bought two boxes for my picky senior cat. the litter boxes are well built and sturdy for the price. the entry is high enough to keep litter in but low enough for kitty to easily enter and exit. the top attachment to the box does keep litter in when he is digging away doing his business and connects to the bottom pan easily. there is a small scooper for the waste that clips to the side of the top part either hanging out of the box or inside- attaches easily both ways and makes for easy cleanup. overall my cat and i are happy with the purchase. :)

I have one cat who’s has to make everything difficult and for the last year it’s been using the bathroom. He pees outside his box onto our hardwood and we never see it quick enough and I’ve ended up having to switch his box three times over the last year bc of this hoping to fix this issue. These boxes completely fixed everything from clean up, smell, to my cats peeing problem. We couldn’t be happier with the cheaper fix. We almost bought a litter robot and I’m so glad we saved the money. Worth it just a little hard to get into the corners and the lid does get in the way of scooping sometimes but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Es muy buena si tienes gatos grandes (5 o 6 kg) es muy facil de destapar, pero no intentes cargarla con arena, el plastico es resistente pero se dobla relativamente facil y los seguros podrian no soportar el peso. Hay palitas mucho mejores, pero la que incluye sirve para lo que se le ocupa.

The litter box is as described and came with a handy scoop, my only complaint is the residue from the tape I could not remove.
