Not totally rustproof.
Maybe slows down rusting but certainly did not weatherproof my copper window planter boxes. I applied several coats of it before putting outdoors.

Thoroughly disappointed!
IF you want a etched finish, this is for you.. Just note, it scratches easily too. Bought this product to protect a polished copper range hood. I'm thoroughly disappointed in this product and disappointed in myself for not testing it on a scrap piece first. After hours of polishing the hood to a mirror finish I wanted something that would keep the mirror finish and not tarnish over time. Began to spray the hood and instantly this product dulled the finish to what looked like an etched dull look. Now I'm going to have to strip this crap off and re-polish it all over again. This product was a complete waste of money.
