ABCCANOPY Canopy Sandbags for Instant Shelters, 140lb (Gray)

I would give these a 5 star and for what they are advertised to be they are a 5 star in comparison to another set I tried and ordered then sent back and read a review from the guy who tested several and recommended to go to ABC canopy ..I can’t believe they built them this good and are that much lower on the price .So with that said why not five stars. Well I’ve not used them yet I just got them in for one . And there are a lot of photos posted of where they had blow outs but nothing lasts forever and different folks care for their use of things differently so hard to use that as a factor until I test them ..However.. with the lining and stitching they are far above the one other brand and design I tried first .. the zippers are quality and double zipped to overlap so no sand spill.. I think I am going to line mine with the heavy duty plastic grocery sacks we get here in California to make them last alot longer and do my part to not create waste by premature wear on them early…Another note one of mine did come with one line of double stitching missing from the bottom of one so I’ll wait to see how they and Amazon handle replacing one of the bags before I use it .And lastly my main reason for not giving it 5 stars yet besides not having used them yet , is one design element.. I would pay more for these and near or a little more than the main competitors designs of this one used buckles instead of the Velcro alone.. again the Velcro may last and work just fine but it’s like everything else is so well done and appears and feels heavy duty to point that why don’t we have the option of one with plastic clip buckles ? Maybe it’s a price point and sustainable materials issue to reduce broken plastics but .. I’ve got packs and dry bags decades old that use two sided clips and it just seems you could clip these on and since them down to stay even more secure to the leg and in tight upright position than what I see on some of these photos.. I may still get up for the other brand that uses a clip style for this very reason .. not sure just yet

Update after three uses: still excellent bags. However one bag has started to come undone where sewn together. Minor sand leakage. Will continue to use as it’s not horrible…will have to be careful with that one bag. Sad to have it happen after only three uses, but we also moved. Just noticed the rip when removing them from the moving truck and found sand. Not sure if the failure was due to use or moving but either way they should have been able to handle it.Excellent sand bags. Filled them to the brink and used them this past holiday weekend - canopy was open three days/two nights through multiple storms and no issues. Many others were not so lucky with broken canopies and canopies that went flying around due to lighter weights. We were one of the few who lasted the whole weekend without any issues! Our ABC Canopy, walls, and sandbags kept us going when few others could! Other vendors kept asking us where we got our stuff.The only negative I would say is that these are definitely not the bright neon green they appear to be in the picture. I love the super bright yellow/neon green color they show. But the ones I got were more of a muted, olive green. No biggie as they’re sandbags after all. But still would have been nice to get what I chose. I wanted them to stand out a bit since they were a bit larger. Not that anyone would be walking that close to the poles, but still nice to have a bright warning that there’s something people can trip over.

The bags seem pretty sturdy. but either quality control and testing is lacking or the zipper and stitching materials are just junk.Ordered a set of 4 to help with a canopy for our community group that sits on asphalt every Thursday for shade when we help with traffic control at a local farmer's market.Two of the bags have had no issues so far since the end of May when we purchased these and filled them with play sand about a week later. The other two have not been so reliable however.Bad bag #1 lost the zipper pull on the outer zipper the day it was filled. The stitching that is supposed to be at the end to hold the zipper on isn't there at all. The zipper pull slid right off when it was closed up.Bad Bag #2 popped at the stitching on the rear where the reinforced ground material meets the nylon. The stitches just popped free after the very first use. I can keep using this bag, but I either need to reinforce it with something else inside to hold the play sand or restitch it myself. And no, it's not over filled. I only added about 20-25 lbs of sand to each of the 4 bags purchased to help prevent burst stitches from happening over time.Again, decent bags, they just need some better quality control.

I have used other types, I like these for the zipper tops and 2 tubes that rap around the legs to anchor.

We got these to use on our 12'x12' canopy this summer. So far, so good! They are very well made. We filled ours with gravel and our canopy has been going strong for the last week now. Hoping it'll continue going good, will update if any problems arise.

Habe die Gewichtstaschen vor wenigen Tagen erst erhalten und noch nicht eingesetzt. Scheinen aber den Anforderungen sehr gut zu entsprechen. Die Gewichtstaschen sind gut verarbeitet (stabiles Material) und aufgrund der Größe können sie auch genug Füllmaterial aufnehmen, damit ein hohes Gewicht entsteht.Da ich diese bis jetzt noch nicht im Einsatz hatte vorerst nur 4 Sterne.

Love the bright orange, the double zippers are an added bonus,they are very heavy when filled,I lined them with a plastic bag before filling with beach sand,very happy with my purchase.
