When Mr Bumble Came to Stay (Our Mini-beast Heroes)

I absolutely loved this book and so did my class of 5 year olds. They were all totally engrossed as I read it to them. Afterwards we had a lovely discussion about bees and why we must look after them. We then all pretended to be bees as we went outside to play! I highly recommended this book and look forward to the next one in the series.

I beautiful story of how feelings of fear and misunderstanding can be changed in to friendship and appreciation.Gorgeous illustrations bring Mr bumble to life and have truly changed the way I will look at bees forever.Don’t hesitate, your kids will love this book!

Fab children's book. A really good story with fantastic illustrations. The length of the story is perfect, not too long that interest fades and not so short that it's over straight away. The morals are really positive and there's a great feel good factor that grows as the story develops. This is Sophie and Loren's debut and I think this is the start of something magical.

The kids were buzzing to help bees after reading this story!

I bought this book for my children because the author lives around the corner from us. What a wonderful story, my daughter loves it and I would highly recommend it :)

My grand daughter loved this story, we have read it together loads of times in the couple of days we have had it, she loves the pictures and was really happy for Lucy when she got to go to the park with her friends again! Hope there will be more in a series.

This is a lovely story with wonderful illustrations- the kids find it really engaging. Very educational about the importance of bees and the ability to change our first impression of someone and give them a second chance. Would highly recommend for ages 4-7, think it will be a firm favourite in this house...

An excellent book, with a great story line but also lots of information about bees woven in. A nice caring message within the story as well. It’s also a good story for children about overcoming your fears.
