It is Excellent
It is a great form of C for the face as it does not irritate. Many high-end C products have the same form of C for outrageous prices.

Dr.recommended active Vitamin C form
Having used a highly rated Ascorbic acid form of Vitamin C,after seeing this active form of Vitamin C recommended by a well-known Dr.and a well known Esthetician (both use this form), I ordered this product and Wow! No burning, instant results in hyperpigment dark spot easing and firming in two days.

Great Citrus Fragrance
The consistency of this serum is thick and has a pleasing citrus smell. Its feels soothing and hydrating as you apply it, with a slight tingling if you have just exfoliated your skin. The serum has a heaviness to it. For this reason I would recommend using it in the evening with a very light moisturizer if you have oily skin. Most importantly ( according to my wife) you must use an SPF moisturizer during the day.Recommended.

Good serum.
I have only been using this serum twice a day for a week. I find that it is very hygroscopic, and for me is a bit too much so for make up application. It's better used at a time when you are able to just let it rest. As for skin quality, it's too soon to say but I do like the feeling of the product on the skin. It is not irritating for my sensitive skin. I feel that my skin is smoother, and the pores are shrinking, less white heads and nose bumps.Which is great! I've had a long term issue with white heads. pores, and skin texture since I started using dairy again. I stopped eating dairy for years, but discovered Kefir and have been eating that with frozen organic fruit. My skin is showing signs of diary use. But, the pros of eating the 'snack' out way the skin issues at the moment. (I could cut back a bit on dairy.) When I was younger my skin was troubled, not horrible but when I stopped eating dairy, my skin issues were gone. No pores, pimples, white heads, bumps. That's what happened with me. I am older now too, but these issues seem to be dairy related for me. If I can help my skin to look better while I feel better physically, that'd be nice.Okay, the scent is nice, orange, light, and fades. It's not perfumed or lingering. The feeling of the serum is slick, spreads nicely and I use quite a bit, covering my whole face, neck, décolletage around my ears and the back of my neck and shoulders. That's about one half a dropper of product, but I could use less because this product covers easily. It is a serum and not a watery silly liquid like some I've come across while ordering on line. I am not using a derma roller with this because of the fragrance. I would or could possibly use it right after rolling a more simple, sterile product, but I haven't spoken to my doctor about it, and I am careful about that. Use after exfoliation is helpful, not irritating.I like this product and will update with other benefits over time. My issues are typical of my age, approaching 60; elasticity, hydrated appearance, plump juicy cells, and dark areas or spots. Some lines around my lips and brow. I don't use botox or surgery, I do use lights. This is perfect for use with lights.4 stars, mostly because I become 'sweaty' after use. This could just be me, or my reaction to the product.

Glowing
As a woman of a certain age I thought I lost my glow, but NOPE. I tried Doctors Preferred because of the price and because of the Vitamin C and I got my glow back! Love this stuff!!!!

Nice with caveats. (w/pics)
I am a fan of a good skin care product. I have my favorites but willing to try things from time to time. I was offered this Doctor's preferred 50x Vitamin C serum and thought I would try it, at time of review 1fl oz runs $12.99. I've been using the serum 2x a day for the last 2 weeks. For purposes of this review 40s female with few skin concerns other than some fine lines and "sun damage" due to Irish/Anglo heritage (not from sun worship). This is probably not a serum I would buy again though the price is right. It promises "results in days" right on the product title but I saw no noticeable results to report here and it's been more than 14 days now. The serum itself has a pleasant orange/citrus scent that is typically not present in majority of vitamin c products I've ever tried/reviewed so I feel like, while it smells nice to me it's more for the scent and not part of the active ingredients. I have been applying the product after showers on face/neck as directed- once it dries your skin feels very tight, almost dry. It's a relief of sorts to put my moisturizer on afterwards. If it has the vitamin c in it it says it may still be good for my skin- but because they seem to promise results and I can't report any I'll be giving it 3 stars.
