NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System (RBK752)

قمت باستخدامه منذ اشهر للان. قمت بوضع الراوتر في الطابق الارضي بينما نقطة الاتصال الاضافية (access point ) في الطابق الاول وتم توصليهما بواسطة كيبل التغطية ممتازة. اسم شبكة واحد في اي جزء من المنزل وسرعة الانترنت كانت كاملة في الطابقين حيث ان الانترنت عندي ٥١٢ ميجا ويعطي سرعة كاملة في الواي فاي مطابقة لسرعات الكيبل. وكان الاعداد سهلا جدا فقط قمت بتوصيل الجهازين وتنزيل تطبيق اوربي للموبايل وبضغطات بسيطة تم اعداد كل شي. وبدا الجهازين بالعمل فورا دون معاناة او تدخل. والشبكة مستقرة وثابتة بدون تقطيع واا تضارب وفيها ١٧ جهاز متصل. ويوفر الرواتر في تطبيقه امكانية حماية شبكتك من الهجمات والثغرات ويحجب اي صفحات تحاول التعدي على الخصوصية او زرع برامج خبيثة في اي جهاز متصل والخدمة باشتراك سنوي مستقل بسعر معقول. وكذلك يمكنك بشكل مجاني من مشاهدة اجهزتك المتصلة في اي من الجهازين ومتابعة مقدار البيانات المصروفة لكل الشبكة. وعمل بلوك لاي جهاز اتصل بالشبكة ويمكن من تطبيق الموبايل السهل ان تتحكم في شبكتك من خارج الدولة بخاصية anywhere وبشكل سهل وسلس. لن تحتاج اساسا لفتح التطبيق بان الجهاز بمجرد ان بدا بالعمل فلن تعاني معه فهو مستقر بشكل ممتاز لم اعهده في شركات اخرى. يمكن ايضا انشاء شبكة للضيوف واغلاقها من الهاتف المحمول هل توجد سلبيات نعم بسيطة مثلا لا يمكن وضع توقيت لعمل شبكة الضيوف ولكن يتم تشغليها وتعطيلها بشكل يدوي. ثانيا انه لا يوجد امكانية تحكم في محتوى الاطفال عدا هاتين النقطتين فان الجهاز رائع بمعنى الكلمة.

Before you want to install in Dubai make sure your Du or Etisalat internet connection is Access Point and not Plug and Play. If your internet connection is Plug and Play then you cannot install a non Du or Etisalat router! Just call your provider and ask them to change Access Point first!

Installation and setup is easy. But the coverage range is not satisfactory as mentioned. Pricey for this much coverage and performance

The Orbi Lineup is confusing. They appear to have products catering to Every price range, but the compromises made to bring price down don’t make a whole lot of sense. That seems to be the case with this one (In my Experience). Specifically: Set up Was fiddly, Took substantially longer than what would have been reasonable, required a few too many restarts then would’ve been reasonable, required a few too many moving the satellite closer and further away then would’ve been reasonable at the end had to do a wired back anyways. Go figure. The app has issues. It looks sleek and streamlined, but doesn’t pick up all of the connected devices, has a lag before showing the satellite and I mean A few hours or couple of days type of lag (Apparently, this is documented on the forums already). For a 700 AED piece of kit, one would expect the range, The switching between nodes and, Most importantly, Switching between 2.4 G and 5G to be much much better than what it was in reality. To top it off, you can’t manually switch to 5G. In the end, couldn’t justify the exorbitant price Combined with all the compromises made by Orby. Maybe their higher end Wi-Fi seven and Wi-Fi six systems are worth it but this one most definitely isn’t. had to return it. Got a different WiFi 6 mesh system instead at less than half the price ( And I literally mean for AED 300) And couldn’t be happier. Does everything better than this Orby at a fraction of the price. stars for Amazon delivery, seamless return policy and to be fair the orbi does look good sitting on a table or shelf. So it wins on the nice looking ornament front but Unfortunately fails on the, kinda more essential, mesh router bit..

Even with wired backhaul between the satellites, the wifi was spotty and unreliable. Frequently dropping for minutes at a time with no way to solve. Roaming between satellites was poor and if you were on the border between two you just don't get wifi from either. Buy some Ubiquiti gear rather, it is the same price but actually works.

The device arrived however after multiple attempts it was impossible to add the satellite to the router. For some reason the router was unable to recognize the satellite. Had to process a refund and return.

A pesar de los numerosos comentarios negativos que hablan de la caida o cortes del wifi de este mesh me aventuré e instalé el Orbi RBR752 para sustituir el Mitrastar de Movistar/O2 y los cambios han sido inmediatos: Cobertura total en casa de dos plantas, sin caídas desde que lo configuré, y velocidad casi calcada a lo contratado. La conexión entre router (planta baja) y satélite (planta alta donde finaliza escalera) la he hecho de manera inalámbrica (6 metros, no hay visión directa pero si hueco de escalera). Pero esto no fue así desde un principio pues a pesar de realizar la instalación recomendada por el fabricante a los pocos días empecé a tener los problemas de conectividad wifi relatados en otros comentarios. Cómo he conseguido finalmente un funcionamiento correcto (pasos rápidos): A) Mitrastar en modo puente (monopuesto): 1. Desactivar NAT, DHCP, Wi-Fi, firewall y UPnP (unas configuraciones en básico y otras en avanzado) 2. Mantengo activado NAT Loopback y “Filtrado NAT seguro”; IGMP proxy y SIP ALG desactivados. No uso tv ni telefono fijo en O2 3. Cable desde el puerto LAN 1 del Mitrastar directo al puerto WAN del Orbi. B) Orbi como Router principal, gestiona toda la red: 1. Conexión PPPoE con los datos genéricos de Movistar usuario y contraseña: adslppp@telefonicanetpa y adslppp. 2. UPnP activo (para juegos y streaming), coexistencia 2,4 / 5 GHz sin separar SSIDs. Resultado Eliminando asi duplicidades (NAT, DHCP,...) los dispositivos hacen roaming a la perfección y no hay micro-cortes ni caidas de wifi ni lag en partidas online. Tanto el router principal como el satelite me dan la velocidad contratada (en mi caso 300mb simétricos) Conclusión Si sufres cortes de Wi-Fi con el Orbi la solución está en una buena configuración del router de la compañía y del propio Orbi. Bien es cierto que esto no está al alcance de cualquier usuario pero tan facil como preguntar a la ia

Würde ich nicht mehr kaufen. Netgear war mal gut aber die Software bräuchte dringend updates

I purchased Orbi Netgear RNR750 Router and a Satellite from amazon.sg in Nov 2020. The device was working fine for the first 6 month or so but then my satellite started to disconnect all the time from the base station / router. I called Orbi Netgear number in Singapore and they informed me that they cannot replace a faulty device because they do not have a warehouse in Singapore, they only have warehouses in the US, Australia and New Zealand. Beware, if you are buying a device from Singapore, you cannot have a warranty on it and you cannot replace a device if it stops working....
