No , in fact it taste kind of gritty and it is way to sweet. I remember Halvah from the Jewish deli down the street form my old business 30 years ago. It was flakey and had the perfect sesame taste to it. Let me know if you find it and I will do the same for you. Happy Holidays

The complete list of ingredients is on the label on the container. Halvah is simply sesame paste mixed with a sweetener. Some put pistachio or almonds in it. But if you don't see any pistachios or almonds then there aren't any in it and, besides that it would be on the label.

Tremendous. If you can't get to Lebanon on Market Day this is the next best thing.

First, it's got pistachios in it; how cool is THAT? Second, nothing ever devised by the mind of man is any sweeter.If you want a REAL head rush, I guess a demitasse of espresso would be in order. But don't say I didn't warn you. If you don't like your next door neighbor, feed the above combination to their four year old twins. Then take off surreptitiously ...Seriously, it's wonderful if you have a sweet tooth. But approach it sparingly if you don't want to get addicted. BRAVO!

Good to have real HALVA BACK IN MY LIFE...

I loved this moist, chewy, flaky Halva. It's a bit sweet, but so addicting.. The almonds in it are generous.I would love to find the kind I used to buy in the deli in Chicago. They were a long thick rectangle with a dark chocolate coating enrobed around it.The best i could do was eat the halva with a thin bar of dark chocolate. . . perfection.

Don't know how to pack

I ordered 4 boxes: 1 box was missing a lid (whoever packed had to see it was missing), 1 box was missing part of the lid. Looked like whoever packed did not care at all.On good note it tasted great.
