BOSS Audio Systems BRS65 6.5 Inch 80 W Single Replacement Car Door Speaker

Sounds great in my 05 ram.

NOTE: If your not a person that knows basic math to car audio systems is not for you. Reason why all speakers refer to RMS means root means square the rms on this 6 1/2 are perfect and the name brand stuff function the same, but like the rest they do not have uv protection from the sun. By me doing my research on this boss replacement cone speakers they do have uv protection. In my 10th year of instilling audio systems I have not blown any of my name brand speakers even the cheap ones lolololol. I like the price for these boss speakers awesome. My 4ch kenwood at 60wattsX4 will makes these speakers sound good along with my high pass filters from this old school hand unit Pioneer Premier DEH-P390MP hell my factory speakers in my car now sounds good to with it and not have pop yet lolololol....

I used this 6.5” speaker as a replacement for the speaker from my Job Rocker Max with a minor modification. This speaker is about an inch less in diameter (I forget exactly). It still will seat in the cabinet, but the outer frame cannot reach to the screw holes to mount the speaker. I used those plastic mirror holder clips (normally used to mount a full length mirror to a door). Then I went to Home Depot to get longer screws (1”) to be able to reach through the plastic clip. I think I used six, but four would probably work. So $13 for the speaker and another $5 for mirror clips and screws and the unit is back in business. This assumes you already have a soldering gun to disconnect and reconnect the new speaker. The performance is similar to the old speaker. It seems to have a little less bass response, perhaps owing to the smaller size. The units are not about high fidelity, but rather portable music or amplification. I was glad I was able to save the unit for under $20. It probably took me more than an hour taking it apart and going for parts, etc., but I would have hated to just throw it away when I know it could be fixed. I looked at ION’s website for replacement parts. I could not find it. There was a phone number, but my guess was that this would be a hassle and more expensive. Maybe I was wrong, but how hard is it to list the speaker for order. I don’t know if my rating is fair. The speaker sounds like the cheap speaker it replaced. But that is a great value for $13. If you are going to be real picky about the sound, you shouldn’t be buying $13 speakers.

These things are absolute crap, Im a mechanic and attend college full time for mechanical engineering I have installed probably 2 dozen sets of aftermarket speakers in my life these are the worst I have ever seen, no other speaker I have ever seen is anywhere near the level of low that I consider these speakers, first of all let me bring to your attention that they are sold in singles. Only speaker for a car I have ever seen not sold in pairs... They come with no hardware, no electrical connections, no anything. I bought the 6x9s and a pair of 6.5s thinking that I dont need anything special just a cheap stock replacement, I did not get that. What I got were four completely useless hunks of junk. Right out of the box they crackled and popped at what I consider normal listening level forcing me to listen to them at half of the volume I would normally listen to my music at, by the end of the week even at the low volume level one of each size was completely blown. The other two barely audible. Just save your money and buy something that will work. I just bought the Polk Audio equivelants to replace these and they are nothing short of amazing. I spent 60 on four of these with shipping and 130 on the polks with shipping and I would do it again every time. Would not pay 10 bucks for a set of four, junk.

Product listing said fit my vehicle, yet not really the case without using original mounting plate from OEM speaker, and custom drilling for screws. Supplied mounting plate simply would not fit original mounting screw holes in vehicle. Using supplied hole in mounting plate leaves screw heads right where speaker must sit flush to mount, so had to add foam gasket under speaker rim to keep rim from rattling against mounting screws under it. Also made foam gasket for between door and mounting plate, as it didn’t sit flush to door. Product should come with foam gaskets. Sounds fine. Not as good on lows as the original JBL speakers, that were an upgrade on my model vehicle.

These sound great in my 1998 Honda Prelude. I was looking for an OEM replacement and these are as close as you’ll get. Direct fit, no cutting required...just screw them right in where the old ones were. FYI these only fit the front doors in a 5th gen Prelude. They may fit other gen’s or models but I can’t confirm that. I recommend buying the Metra 72-7800 wire harness adapter to pair with these. Amazon says the Metra 72-7800 won’t fit a 5th gen Prelude but they 100% do. The Metra 72-7800‘s come as a pair so only purchase 1. Install was a no brainer, took 15min. A+

El sonido es claro, con buenos medios y agudos, y para ser de 80 watts máximo rinden muy bien incluso a volumen alto sin distorsión. La instalación fue sencilla y el tamaño encaja perfectamente en la puerta. Los materiales se sienten de buena calidad y por el precio que tienen, superan mis expectativas. No soy un audiófilo profesional, pero para uso diario ofrecen un sonido potente y equilibrado. Muy buena opción si buscas mejorar el audio del coche sin gastar demasiado. Totalmente recomendados.

Suena bien el diamtetro es ligeramente mas chico que 6.5" pero trae un adaptador que permite su montaje En las fotos no se aprecia pero es una bocina de dos vias el centro que se ve brillante es un tweeter

As a OEM replacement it's very good, and it came with universal bracket. I removed OEM plug female from the original speaker and put it on the new one. Works like a charm

I installed 2 of these in the rear doors of an 01 dodge Dakota and they sound good, not much different then the stocks but definitely revived the sound quality a bit. And the bass isn’t all that bad either, less bass then I wanted but I suppose you get what you pay for. The mounting bracket is absolute garbage though, if you have a bracket that will work then use that. I have to drill new holes in the mounting bracket, not a single hole on the bracket lined up with the holes on the speaker. I’m not sure what they were thinking but if you drill new holes and have the necessary hardware because they send none whatsoever. Overall they sound good, but some hardware and a proper mounting bracket would have made the process effortless.
