Highly recommend!Just get this book!.
Jennifer Kolari is AMAZING!! My husband and I first watched her video on YouTube regarding the CALM Technique, and we still take the time out to watch it every few months to refresh. Since implementing some of those techniques into our home we have noticed HUGE differences in how we connect and respond to each other. I'm not perfect, no parent is!..this woman understands that and really hits home in a logical and eye opening way!. I reccomend her video to any parent and this book is also right on the top of the list!. Recently our son has been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD and this technique applies in many ways on top of other methods for these behaviors as well. It has given us a bit of our sanity back.

Excellent parenting book
When was the last time someone verbally attacked you about your mistakes and you thought! "mmm you're so right, I really need to address that flaw in myself"? Right - never! This is just one of the very common sense questions that Jennifer Kolari flags up. There's loads more food for thought and sound helpful tips for managing children and indeed all relationships in this book.

Highly recommend - see things from the childs perspective
I love non fiction books and found this really helpful as well as a very interesting, engaging read. I have applied the approach advocated within this book at home and feel like such a better parent for doing so. The premise is very much upon listening, empathising and providing limits for children without discipline. I agree wholeheartedly with the value in this approach. I will admit it is at times very hard to apply when in the midst of a toddler meltdown but I always feel better afterwards when I have applied techniques promoted within this book instead of losing control and shouting.
