It’s insulating tape. It insulates. It sticks. The rolls are in different colours. That’s all I have to say about that ;-)

A bit thin
I wouldn't rely on it alone for insulation, it feels bit thin. Fine for colour coding if orange can be added.The old resistor colour code would then fit, and its mnemonic. The politically correct version is:0 (Black) Black1 (Brown) Beetles2 (Red) Run3 (Orange) Over4 (Yellow) Your5 (Green) Garden6 (Blue) But7 (Violet) Vegetables8 (Grey) Grow9 (White) Well
