Have realistic expectations before using this.
The picture of the models makes it look like these pajamas have a bit slimmer/modern (but still comfortable) fit, but that is not the case. Do not depend on the size chart - these pajama pants are huge, baggy, and frumpy. Fine pattern as a guide, if you are willing/able to make sizing adjustments, but if you're new to sewing, don't expect to just cut your size, sew, and wear. First pair I went ahead and used adult size small (as indicated by size chart measurements). Took off multiple inches nearly everywhere. Going to compare my adjustments to the teen sizes and maybe use the teen pattern instead going forward, because even XS adult is too large. The bow at the waist is not a drawstring. It is just a tacked on bow for looks. I modified the pattern to make a drawstring tie with partial elastic. The leg cuffs need to be a bit wider in order to look more professionally made with modern design, IMO. Another review I read says this pattern with its design details is not suitable for flannel due to the bulk it creates. I find the design details fine for flannel if using a serger and if also doing a little bit more topstitching than instructed.. At the end of the day your best bet is really to make your own pajama pattern whether it is from a DIY tutorial online or using a pattern like this and tweaking it, which was my intent going into it.

First ever pattern
The instructions were ok. I did struggle a little as I knew no sewing terms. Made as the pattern said for the size I wanted and found the trousers very wide.
