An all-time classic in manga form
I've never read the original book, but an ultimate tale of revenge from a suave cunning rich man always sounded interesting. Now it's presented in my prefered book format and i gotta say, i loved it.The story is obviously great, and the art is detailed and helps convey a lot of emotion. In fact the art is working overtime, helping to show through image what they wouldnt have time to explain through text and it all works out very wellI suppose a natural critisism is the cutting that does need to happen because of this sort of adaptation. Like i know nothing of this story but i doubt The Count found the island of treasure and returned to france in the span of 3 pages. Some characters entire resolutions are done in text boxes. However i will say what's here is what needs to be here, The Count Of Monte Cristo and his quest for revenge. That being said some characters do suffer from both lack of development or just being dropped from the story as a resultAlso this is probably just me, but i didnt care for the ending too much. For instance someting rattles the count a lot more than it should, though again that might be due to the cuts.Regardless of that though this is a great book and i would recommend it to anyone wanting to know this story.....and now i mst admit i'm curious about the other books in this classics series

Classic books are Much easier to read in this format
I'm trying to re-read some of the books we had to read in school. Some of them were a struggle for me. I have recently wanted to give some of them a try again. The manga format makes these books much easier to read. The artwork is incredible as well. I can zip through a book like this in about 2 settings. That is a terrific speed for me.

Story is great and art style is beautiful!
I have trouble reading due to dyslexia so when I read this story back in high school I didn't get much out of it. I got into manga a few years ago and can't get enough! I thought I'd give this one a shot and I absolutely LOVE it! They mirrored the book well and captured essence of the story in a way that was enjoyable to absorb. I've read a few other manga classics but I just absolutely love the art style of this one the best. I will buy as many of these manga classics as I can find!

Pretty great adaptation
Pretty great adaptation of the story in short form. The art and character designs are quite flawless and the story is extremely faithful to the orignal novel. My only issue I have is how abridged it does end up being and how much has been condensed down into exposition that feels very rushed and may or may not come off as confusing if you aren't familiar with the story already (to be expected since the novel is extremely long so that isn't really the fault of the adaptation)Over all a fantastic adaptation to hand to someone who may not be interested in reading such a long novel so they can appreciate a great classic in a very faithful yet modern and engaging format

My favorite!
This manga is on a whole other level! I loved the illustrations and am now a huge fan of the Count of Monte Cristo. After reading this I absolutely had to read the original version and think it may just be my favorite book yet!

Beautifully illustrated.
Once you adapt to the right-to-left, back-to-front format, this is wonderful to read. The artist is superb. The story was perfectly summarized without the irrelevant stuff in the original book.

Finally!
I have been waiting for so long for this manga to become available through Kindle! I love the previous publications released through this company (like Jane Eyre, Les Miserables, Pride and Prejudice, etc), and this is another feather in their cap. I love the story "The Count of Monte Cristo" and this newest addition to all the incarnations we have is a blessing. The artwork is breathtaking and they keep the narrative as close to the original source as possible. But it download it now, you won't regret it!

Fatastic!! A great way to introduce classic books to children early.
This book is a fantastic adaptation of the classic literature The Count of Monte Cristo. The manga is well drawn and the plot and storyline is very well thought through, maintaining the crucial storyline while leaving out other details which may otherwise make the book too “lengthy.” I really enjoyed reading this manga adaptation. I was thoroughly impressed reading the Manga classic version of Les Miserables even though I’ve read the fantastic, unabridged version of this “tome”. But this one, in my view, tops it.

Very faithful to the book
This manga adaptation is very enjoyabe, and having read the book before, it changes only in a few things. There's even an extra note from the authors, where they explain the reason for certain decisions, especially those that make the manga a bit different from the original story.Overall, this is the best I've read from Classics Manga so far.

ottimo porting in manga
Assolutamente consigliato.
