If you enjoy (or know someone who enjoys) playing games with motion controls, you may have noticed that the joycon are too small to handle as a golf club. Even my 4 year old daughter feels the same. These plastic shells may be just what the Dr. Mario ordered!Please keep in mind that these controllers do NOT fundamentally change the software and how it interprets motion control. They only change what you are holding in your hand. This makes the whole process feel more ergonomic, comfortable, and well, maybe just a bit more realistic.THE PROSThe presentation of the box is nicer than what you'd expect from a product of this type. The plastic of the controllers doesn't feel cheap at all, which, honestly is more than I expected for the price point. With 2 shells in the box, they are essentially $10ish each. OIVO did a good job matching the Switch's red and blue color scheme. Having them off color can irk some folks, I know, so it's worth mentioning. The handle length is perfect for kids up to average sized adults. My hands are larger than normal, and as such these controllers feel ok. They could be a bit longer. This was actually a pleasent surprise. I expected them to be much too small judging from the picture. All buttons are easily accessible, and the shells hold the joycons quite snugly. There are no clips holding them in place, so it is easy to take them in and out.THE CONSReally, something like this doesn't need to do much. Be inexpensive, allow access to all the necessary buttons, and hold the controller properly, all of which these shells do. There are 2 minor things that deserve mentioning, however.1) As noted above, the joycon are not fastened into the shells via clips. They fit perfectly, but if whipped hard enough, the joycon can be forced out of the holding cavity.2) When setting up for a shot in Mario Golf, you must rotate your joycon sideways and hold down the SL or SR button before and during your swing. This causes the face of the toy club to either face directly up at the sky, or directly down at the ground instead of facing the imaginary ball in your living room. Now keep in mind this does NOTHING to upset gameplay. It doesn't feel bad either. It just looks kind of goofy.OVERALL (TLDR)The OIVO Joypad Golf Clubs do exactly what you would expect of them, and they do it with quality plastic at a very fair price. These are perfect for kids; inexpensive, strong enough to withstand some thwacking and big enough for Mom and Dad to take a few holes without having their hands cramp. The golf club heads being rotated incorrectly may make you look a little silly, but swinging little plastic golf clubs was going to do that anyway. There are a handful of companies that offer these shells, and I can only speak for the one that I've used. OIVO has exceeded my expectation for the price and quality. If you are in the market for something like this, it comes recommended.

These attachments are not compatible with the controllers… the club heads face the wrong way

Though they advertise a "more ergonomic design" the ergonomic design does NOT work with how the game design of Mario Golf. If you hold the controller the way they advertised, the game will not recognize it and will not allow you to hit the ball. You can still use it the regular way. However it's just the driver is then facing the wrong direction. All in all, this is a very solid controller. It works technically. Just a minor design flaw if you can look over it. I however, can not. :/

I've been playing the new Mario Golf Super Rush with these clubs, I've got to say that you feel like your grabbing a club and not just holding a JoyCon to play.Obviously playing the game with motion controls is very different than playing the game with normal controls, but these clubs really make the feeling complete and you feel like your Mario (or whatever character you have chosen to play as) playing a round of golf. That is, until you look down at the club your holding.The good is the club looks perfect, the form factor is great and it holds the JoyCon perfectly. They even supplied straps and if used correctly no flying of objects can happen. Then when you set yourself up to swing you look down at your club, and the club is sideways. Here is where things get bad. Each swing makes you feel like your an idiot unable to hold a club correctly. For an adult this is just a break in the atmosphere/ realism of how you would actually play a round of golf, but for children this club is going to be very confusing for them, even more so if they have ever played a simpler form of golf like mini golf.I really wanted to leave a 5 star review for this product, but a modification to the club head needs to be done by the manufacturer. A simple 4 way click in place mechanism for the club head would be the perfect solution to really improve the experience of using this product. It would be just what is necessary for left handed golfers, children, and adults looking/ hoping to feel like they are really playing golf. I really hope OIVO fixes this issue soon and release a replacement product.I never would have bothered playing the game with motion controls, had I not of purchased these clubs. It's still a great product in my opinion, but as an adult I do not want to look like a noob who doesn't know how to hold a golf club correctly to swing.I hope my review helps make your decision. I'm going to take mine apart and see if it can be modified for the way I play.

The media could not be loaded.  Played with these for hours last night and have to say we had a blast! Love the peripheral along with the motion controls in Mario Golf just have to practice putting for sure. I would recommend these for kids and adults alike. Great quality and the box is neat. Happy golfing!

I would give this 5 stars however the club head is a little off center. The head has to face up towards the ceiling when holding correctly making it look unrealistic. However the comfort and overall control is nice. Comes with not one but 2 golf clubs with wrist straps. The buttons on the side make it much easier to golf rather than using just the joycons in Mario Golf: Super Rush.

The media could not be loaded. I’m always one for trying out gaming accessories so when I saw these beauties I had to have them! Me and my partner have been using them over the weekend and my partner (who isn’t into gaming at all) has played more than me!These are the perfect companion to the newly released Mario Golf Super Rush game on the Nintendo Switch. They could probably also be used on games of a similar nature as well!For me, the most important things with any gaming accessory are durability, price, ease of use, ease of storing, safety and of course that the product serves its purpose well.I certainly wasn’t disappointed with these! Good durability, much better than I expected! Reasonable price to pay for hours of fun! Very easy to set up and use. Easy to store - just slip them back into the handy slim box they come in and pop them in the cupboard! Perfectly safe - no jagged edges or anything that could cause accidental injury.When using one of these to play the game I actually found that my shots were slightly more accurate and I felt I had more control over where I was aiming the ball. The only issue I came across was the angle you hold the club at, in the game you need to hold the joycon on its side in order to take your shot, but when using the accessory you have to slightly twist your wrist so the club is angled (the flat side of the club almost faces the floor) otherwise the game won’t pick it up. However, this doesn’t stop you from getting a good strong swing when taking your shot and it doesn’t affect overall gameplay.Great fun for all ages, definitely one of the most fun accessories on the market.
