Blendtec Designer 650 W/Wildside+ Jar

Replacement for previous Total Classic model with four-sided jar, which was given to a relative.While, for all I know, same 1560w motor and six preprogrammed functions, the 650’s LED touchpad much cooler. Wildside+ jar significant upgrade from four-sided. Not only shape of jar, which gets a-lot of hype, but redesign of blades seem to be much improved as well.Works well with our existing Twister jar, too, as expected.With Blendtec’s site having issue, had to register it over-the-phone; Customer Service Rep was friendly and informative.$349.99 = Good price, IME.

The first time I used it, it smelled of plastic burning. I figured it was just because it was new and would go away. It slowly progressed to plastic burning smell and smoking. I have requested a refund and if it goes through for the full refund I’ll update my stars for great costumer service. Super bummed because of how much I paid for it.

Easy to use

It's a work horse. It does almost everything from a smoothie to almond butter.

Previous blendtec blender made over 850 smoothies over 10 years. Still working good and able to give away. This new one off to a great start.
