I have a 1 lb chihuahua puppy that's been fighting an infection so lost a little weight. This is the perfect size for him for now but wouldn't work for an 8 lb dog I tried it on.

I bought this to weigh our litter of puppies after they exceeded the weight capacity of our kitchen scale. I was expecting it to be a little bigger but tbh I may not have actually computed the dimensions in the listing. It works great and is accurate. The "bowl" fits into holes on the scale and there's also sticky pads to secure it. Wiggly puppies have not made it come loose yet and we use it everyday.

This is smaller than I had expected. The scale will tip over easily when the animal isn't place in the middle. I tried to weigh an 8 pound small cat.If only the base was heavier to prevent tipping. The scale is fine for smaller pets.

If you are weighing an animal, put a foam rubber shelf liner in it before zeroing it. It's not backlit so use it in decent lighting.

I rescue puppies and depending on the breed, and they can start weighing 5 pounds. The scale is so little the only thing I was able to use it for was for baby chicks. And newborn kitten rescue a lot of animals from the streets and I went by the picture where there’s a big puppy and it doesn’t work I’m super upset. Wish I could return it and get my money.

The media could not be loaded.  I don't care for the fact that it's a bit difficult to see the weight as the ledge overhangs a little too much. Also I kept thinking it's suppose to click into the tray, but I think now it's just suppost to rest on the tray. Other than that, it worked okay for weighing new kittens. Which is why I made this purchase.

This would probably work fine for kittens/puppies that aren’t very mobile yet and food. As soon as an adult cat (8lbs) puts weight on it the top pops out of place and you have to start all over again. Very frustrating, will need to order something bigger/more stable.

The add said it was suitable for puppies up to 10k. I tried to weigh my 2.5 month, less than 4k but it was not suitable. OK for hamsters etc but not for average puppies.
