As far as self-assemble bookcases go, I would rate this very high. Follow the instructions step by step and you won’t have any problems. It took me less than 30 minutes to put together by myself. I had one slight issue with one of the cam screws but it was because the drilled hole was not fully cleared from debris when drilled. otherwise all good and very strong.

The shelves look good. The instructions were sparse but once I realized that the pieces were numbered it became easier. The shelves are stable and I used them to put photo albums on display.

It's been a long time since I've assembled a bookcase, and this one didn't turn out so well. It is a lot heavier than I expected, which made it difficult to manipulate. It would have been great if the instructions had been clearer, or had pointed out where you're most likely to make a mistake. The pin holding the small front bottom panel broke off in assembly. I connected the top shelf upside down, because I was asking my wife to help hold and steer things and we didn't notice that the holes for the screw connectors were on top instead of inside. (There are caps, so it doesn't look too bad, I tell myself.) Finally, when I was nailing the back panel piece to the frame, I didn't realize that the frame had shifted slightly out of square, so the whole thing leans a little to the left now.If I built these things frequently, as I once did, I might not have made these mistakes. It would have been very helpful to put alerts in the instructions pointing out the most likely places where buyers could mess up. I think the shelves will be OK, but the item won't look as nice as I'd hoped and expected.

I love my new shelf. It was exactly what I expected from the photos and holds my books nicely. I’ll definitely be purchasing another in the future as my book collection grows.

Hey, its cheap office furniture but what bothers me is that in this picture you see two shelves that house standard binders. Only problem is that the shelves are not tall enough to have two rows of binders. You have to raise up the middle shelf, or lower it, and that leaves only room for one row of shelves that can hold standard size binders and a second shelf that is too small for most other things. So now I am stuck with a shelf that is too big and one too small. Fail!
