USE IT! Without it oil will drip where you don't see it anyway but wonder why your car smokes

Contrary to popular thought "You don't need them, just put it in"; what happens is oil will leak down the back of the engine where you won't see it except on the floor and make your car smoke. Felt-type gasket should be metal, or you should ground your distributor.
