Got these to make student of the month buttons. The students love their buttons. They were them past the month.

These are a hit seller in our area. I use them to make personalized sports buttons. They are easy to use, fit in my button maker well, great bang for your buck, and are durable. I have had a few that were missing the pin.

Overall good quality for the price. However a few of the metal plates were bent in. A handful of the white plastic backings were chipped, were missing the safety pin, or the safety pin barely closed and the needle tip was *just* long enough to close all the way.

This is my replacement machine last minute and it was my best investment I had to make some shirt pins for a funeral and the product is great

UPDATE 2/11/26: I can no longer justify even a 2-star rating bc the quality has somehow become even worse. The issues with cracks/ holes in the plastic have not improved, and now I have received 8 (that’s right—EIGHT) boxes in that were 100% defective, not a single usable button among them. This is due to the actual pin closures being bent too severely, so they are impossible to open/close once the button is assembled. I tried using pliers to adjust the angle of the pins, and it only made it worse in most cases and wouldn’t have been worth the effort anyway. This has become a total nightmare, I can’t believe I have to return 8 boxes today. What a waste of time. Original review: Unfortunately I’ve had to start using this supplier bc every other supplier I’ve used for similar button parts has had such a severe dip in quality. THIS supplier seemed decent at first—definitely lower quality plastic than I’m used to and yet more expensive, but the other parts were better quality and fairly consistent… at first. Now EVERY box I buy, 1/3 to 3/4 if the button backings are super defective: the most common defect is huge cracks/holes along the inside ring of the plastic backs (see photo). I am not exaggerating when I say I’ve received boxes where OVER 100 of these pieces have this problem. So the quality control is nonexistent. The other main issue is that the actual pin closures often are bent wrong, so they can’t actually be opened, and sometimes the sharp end protrudes several mm beyond where it should, like CLEARLY defective. Rating 2 stars instead of 1 bc I’m still dependent on this product to run my business and if they stop selling it idk what I’ll do at this point.
