Q: Does it work for a 48v solar system?

This wire handles more than 40 amps for me (more than 24 hours continuous) without getting above room temperature. The insulation rating is 60 volts, I'm sure it would work fine for a 48 volt system, but be aware the insulation is NOT rated for outdoor use and will degrade quickly in ultraviolet light (i.e. sunlight).

Q: Is this 50 feet of red and 50 feet of black wire and not 25 feet of both?

This product is 50ft of red and 50ft of black bonded together by a transparent pvc. We also have the 25ft red + 25ft black bonded zip wire at www.amazon.com/gspower if you need shorter length.

Q: Is this aluminium copper clad wire or solid copper?

It's copper, not CCA. Standed, not solid.
