I bought this for my Pentax K5. It works when connecting the Pentax camera to a HDMI monitor.However, I wanted to use this to bridge my K5 to a HDMI USB Video Capture card so I could display the K5 output on my laptop screen. The combination of the HDMI USB Video Capture Card + K5 + This Cable = Did Not Work. The Video Capture Card works for other stuff. The K5 + This Cable = Works for a Monitor.Google suggests that a super-high quality HDMI cable may be required to get the K5 to work with a video capture card. Might just be the K5 and not the cable. Might be the card. But this is a niche application and otherwise no issues with the cable.

Got a portable monitor that came with it show mini HDMI cable, but the cable was too short. Needed something at least 5 feet long and this cable did the trick. Would say is on the higher price of the scale, but a lot more expensive on other sites. So far working well!

My old laptop had a full size HDMI port, but my new, slim laptop has a MINI-HDMI. This fixed that problem.

Unfortunately I need a micro to standard. Oh well......., might come in handy later.
