We got these to carry in the Jeep for camping to make a fire in bad weather. Works great!!! I charged them up when we got them and have only used it twice so I don't know how long the charge lasts. We have on board lithium power and 500 watt inverter and USB hookups so it really doesn't matter We can recharge it anytime needed. Great lighter and no propane or lighter fluid needed.

Works As Described

Perfect lighter for what I needed it for. Well made and puts out quite a spark. Enough to smell ozone atoms coming from it it's that powerful. It does make the slightest noise that you can barely even here but your dog will all the way across the house. The sound frequency this thing puts out must be rough to a dog's ears. My cat the same. And not just my pets, it does the same thing for my friends dogs. Odd reveiw I know but something everyone with pets needs to know. It doesn't hurt them but they still won't like it!

Gave this as a gift and he loved it! Not sure how long a charge lasts yet, but it's holding up well so far!

I am 81 years old. I have very poor night vision, neuropathy. Artificial knee and hip.It’s imperative I see where I’m walking! The torch is invaluable to my needs. I haven’t had this for a long time but in the short time that I’ve had it I have been very happy with the brightness from the flashlight! The arc lighter is a little underpowered but will light a cigarette and start a fire. Just the flashlight brightness on this compact unit is worth the price though!

I bought this for my grandson who is in Boy Scouts. He has taken it on several camping trips and it works well even if it is windy or rainy. The other scouts think he is so cool because of this lighter.

This is long but worth the read:>>>I wish this lived up to the $15 pricetag but it doesn't really. The lighter operates with the same function as a cautery device so you see purple charges ( + & -) crossed which creates some heat and minimal embers when in contact with flammables... nothing compared to a butane torch lighter on it low setting. A butane torch will survive the wind but this DID NOT! The charges actually blew around but stayed lit reducing the heat focus. So for survival use I would say you better have a GREAT Dry fire starter log or lint roll to use with this... otherwise it did not light kindling nor dry wrapped thistle (i use as fire starter often) beyond a small ember that went out once the lighter was removed.It's a glorified rechargeable multifunction flashlight on a lanyard equipped with a lighter and safety whistle. I'm keeping it in my collection as it amuses me.Light, small, portable, lanyard keeps from getting lost. It came with a decent charge and I used the flashlight function and tried the lighter several times during the trip. I intended to use my solar battery pack to recharge it but it wasn't needed with the battery life it arrived with.I am giving 4 stars because of the convenience factors that it comes with for me while camping without electricity... that charge lasts a good while.

I really like this lighter but the ad is misleading. It says that on a 1.5 to 2 hour charge it will last for up to 300 uses but it actually only lasts for about 30 uses. With that in mind it works very well

At first I was very happy, rated the lighter a 4star, after one day my thoughts have changed as the arc quality has drastically dropped. Can barely light a smoke with it now.. Lighter worked great for the first few hours… after lighting about 3-4 smokes (without touching the smoke on the arc) and the arc is barely there anymore, I was better off using a wet bic than this.. not very happy with this purchase..
