The puller actually bent when trying to remove pump! It did get it out but the spider bent before the pump was pulled.

Engine repairs

Drive gear puller does not grip gear as intended , crank locking tool pins are not offset correctly, pump puller locating pin and bolt will not both align with the two intended holes at once, only one will locate at any time. It ‘just’ did the job, but only just. Not recommended.

The gear puller doesn't grip the gear properly, I had to grind and file some material away to allow more of the tool to grip the gear, and also use a pair of grips to put torque on the tool so it wouldn't slip off.Luckily I have my engine out, it would have been almost impossible with the engine in the vehicle.I recommend heating the pump housing before trying to remove the pump, mine was very corroded and stuck, I had to weld a bigger nut on the end of the puller shaft because I broke two 1/4" ratchets and an 8mm socket.Be sure that it's threaded on to the pump shaft enough or it will pull the threads off.

Worked as intended. Did the job.

Impossible d’extraire le pignon avec l’extracteur fournis, les extrémités rondes ne permettent pas d’attraper le pignon sur mon moteur BNZJ’ai été obligé d’acheter un autre kit, avec des extrémités comportant des encoches !Du temps et de l’argent de perdu !
