The sun shines out of every page!
Midsummer Magic at Miss Moonshine's Emporium is a must for those who, like me, love to to read in the summer sunshine. Not only a mix of magic and romance by nine talented writers, it's a collection of short stories that connect seamlessly together - a bit, you might say, like magic! Everyone needs a Miss Moonshine in their lives, someone who can see into their dreams and give fate a little nudge now and then when life takes an unexpected turn. You can read this book a little at a time, or start and find yourself unable to stop, but I promise you won't be disappointed.

An Enjoyable and Uplifting Anthology
I thoroughly enjoyed this anthology of stories by nine romantic novelists from Yorkshire and Lancashire, which had a mix of genres, but were all uplifting and feel good stories. Each story whether, set in the present day, or it had a mystical element to it, or was a historical tale, they all had plenty of romance. The whole anthology was an enjoyable and engaging read and offered me a perfect escape this summer. Each story is set in Haven Bridge, during the summer and centres around, Miss Moonshine who runs the, ‘Wonderful Emporium’ which is at the heart of the picturesque Yorkshire town. Miss Moonshine keeps an eye on everything and everyone from the window of her shop and always has a plan to bring happiness to anyone who enters. Although, she may not always have what you want, she will always have what you need! I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading these short stories, and the anthology really does have a story for everyone. I laughed and cried but was always left with a HEA and a feeling of happiness, just like those who visit Miss Moonshine’s Wonderful Emporium. A lovely read and one which I recommend.

A charming and romantic collection of heart-warming stories
Miss Moonshine owns a shop in Haven Bridge and a most unusual shop it is. It put me in mind of the shop in Mr Benn a bit actually, a place where you never know what might happen when you pass through its doors. There’s definitely a bit of magic in the air in Miss Moonshine’s Emporium! It has the most eclectic collection of items for sale and often the bemused customer leaves with something they didn’t know they wanted. But as Miss Moonshine knows, “everyone who goes into her shop finds what they need, even if they don’t know it at the time.”In this anthology you will find stories involving a bit of time travel, a vintage car, a riverboat community, a historical mystery, ghosts and much more. One thing they all have in common is a heart-warming romance at the centre of the story, as well of course as being linked though Miss Moonshine There were stories which made me smile, stories which were exciting, stories which were moving and at least one that made me rather cross with some of the characters! There’s a lot about friendship and community as well as love. The setting of New Haven sounds a wonderful place to live and all the stories were so uplifting. This is such a charming, entertaining collection of stories and I can honestly say I enjoyed every single one of them. This book would be great if you are short on reading time as you could easily fit in a story in your coffee break. It’s a good way to perhaps discover new authors you haven’t read before and see if you like their style of writing. It will hopefully entice you to check out some of their other books, as I have. I loved reading about Miss Moonshine and can just picture her waiting behind the counter of her shop, with a twinkle in her eye, until these authors create more characters to walk into the shop and walk out with more than they realised they needed.
