If it did, even a set of new regular batteries would "fail" after being used for a short time -- because their voltage drops during use, too. Just think of these as 1.5 volts because your devices won't know the difference.

The extra battery capacity (100 mah) will just let the lights work for a slightly longer period of time. I have used these Eneloop batteries in a number of flashlights with no problems.

I have been using slow chargers (1 to 2 hours) for 2 years now and they hold charge very well. If your device needs 4 batteries then you need to buy 8 batteries. When battery charge finishes you swap the batteries and charge the 4 drained ones. After charge store them in a cool place until they are needed again.
