Shut The Box Game Large, Wooden Old Fashioned Dice Fun Play

My husband and I love to play this game while waiting for dinner to cook, I love that my kids can play it too! My only complaint is the wooden dice included didn’t roll, but I purchased a pack at the dollar store that work fine.

This is a great game for kids and adults! I don’t like the dice that came with it, but otherwise built well.

I’m giving 4 stars due to the fact that the rod that holds all the numbers in was completely out when I opened the box. I had to reinsert the rod through the side of the box and glue the little wooden peg back into the hole to hold the rod in place. Other than that, everything else was great. I prefer this size, which I call medium. I’ve seen them smaller and larger, but I feel this size is most comfortable. I will mention that this game comes with two light wooden dice, which is pretty standard for this game. At least all of them I’ve ever played came like this. I highly recommend to replace the wooden dice with two regular ones for ease of use and comfort. Other than that this game is super easy to learn and HIGHLY addictive to play. Great to play at bars or restaurants.

We play this slightly differently than the supplied rules, we roll off for who goes first, and then the first player rolls to close, and the second player rolls to open. Each player rolls until you cannot make a play, then the dice pass to the other player. Another house rule, you may choose to throw just one die if you have 6 or less to open/close. If you choose to throw just one die, you cannot go back to throwing 2.Review: We really like this set, our only minor gripe, we wish the tiles were numbered on both sides, to fit with our style of play, but it is easy enough to write in the tile numbers with a sharpie on the "Jackpot" side.

I read through the reviews for this and other similar products before ordering. In my opinion, this one is the perfect size. Very nice, sturdy, and quality. The felt on the interior of the box adheres well and is fitted proportionally. The wooden dice are fine. I did not have an issue with the pinning coming loose that others mentioned. The numbers are all secure and turn very easily. I'm overall very pleased with this set. Good buy at a good price.

I ordered 3 for Christmas gifts and these went over very well! It looks lovely on a coffee table and many people have asked about it or start playing with the dice! Nice game!!

jeu offert pour Noël, le tapis se décolle et les chiffres sur le bois s'effacent. Mauvaise finition. Pris sur Amazon pour l'originalité de la couleur du tapis, j'aurais mieux fait de me déplacer et de le prendre dans une petit stand de Noël, car prix équivalent mais qualité supérieur. Déçu je ne recommande pas cet article !

Played this game many times and now I have my own version I can play it more often. Very good for the price.
