Go for it..Best bang for the bucks controller !!
I have been using this gamepad for about 3 weeks now. So, here is my personal review with a little background. The decision:I own a Raspberry Pi running latest version of RetroPie, Macbook Pro, Moto G first gen, Xiaomi Mi3 and an iPhone. Besides I also run Windows Applications & games using Wine Wrappers on my Mac. I was looking for a single gamepad that could work on all my devices under 3k.The gamepads that finally made to my list:- Microsoft's Xbox wired & wireless versions- Sony's Six-axis PS3 Controller- Logitech F310 & Logitech F710- Speedlink SL-6556 & SL-6566- RedGear Pro Series Wired & Wireless game controllers. All of these were good gamepads with different price-points and connectivity options. Hence was the time for the final four:- Microsoft's Xbox 360 Wireless controller required a separate receiver and hence it got dropped.- Microsoft's Xbox 360 wired version was a bit too pricey, considering the fact that it had no wireless connectivity.- Speedlink controllers are good but there were some reviews pointing to lack of service and support for these controllers. With these considerations, I was left with only four choices:- RedGear Pro Series Wired gamepd- RedGear Pro Series Wireless gamepad- Logitech F310 Wired Controller- Logitech F710 Wireless controllerI finally picked the Redgear wireless version since it was available for a little under 1500/- and had some good reviews too. I opted for the Amazon fulfilled delivery I always do for most of my purchases and the package arrived in 2 days.Box Contents:1. Gamepad2. Wireless Dongle3. USB Cable (only for charging)4. Installation CD (Xinput driver - needed only for Windows XP)5. Quick Instructions ManualBuild Quality, design and performance:Its design seems to have taken some cues from the Xbox controller(which is nothing to complain about), so much so that it is detected as an Xbox 360 USB controller on android and OS X. Having said that, Android support was literally plug-n-play for native android games. I had to remap the controls only for the emulator games(NES,SNES,PSP,etc.). OS X required a driver available for free online, that provides a graphical interface to configure this controller. I did face some trouble for games running under wine though, where keymaps were not correct and haven't found a way to fix those till date. But that's not the controller's problem(a typical wine issue) as it works absolutely great when using Windows 7 and 10(tried only on these two versions). The battery life has been great too so far as I have had to recharge it only on 2-3 instances so far. Only small small issue is little sounds it produces every time you press a button or D-pad and I guess that's the compromise we make for not buying the more-expensive Xbox 360 controller. Some Features:- Pressing and holding the Home button for more than 5 seconds switches between D-Input and X-input mode- Controller switches of automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity- To some gamers' delight, there is a 'Turbo' button provided for Bursts.- Pressing the BACK and RESET buttons together can switch the D-pad and L-Stick functions.- The controller has a nice rubbery-feel to it on the sides, allowing for a better holding position while playing.Cons:No option to turn of the illuminated buttons. My 2 paise:- Go for Wired version if you are on a lower budget. Except for the connectivity option, it's the same as this one.- USB cable provided is only for charging. You can't connect the controller using the same to play in wired mode.- May folks have wrongly mentioned this but remember it is NOT a bluetooth Controller. It works on RF similar to wireless keyboards and mouse sets.- Don't lose the receiver, you can't replace it later.- Good option for folks with Mac(OS X) & Android phones. Individual game-compatibility may be an issue with some games not designed to work with game controllers in general.- If you are looking for an iOS(iPhone)-compatible controller, this is definitely not going to work.Go for it. It's perhaps the best wireless PC controller one can buy under 1500 bucks.

Full review after 2 months and fully awesome product if planning to buy definately read this review
One star less because of two reasons....1 it does not have any thinh to store the bluetooth reciever(usb)2 the led lights are only on the right side keys...it could have been more attractive if it would be on both sides....And now the pros:1 BATTERY: the backup is more than expected i ay mostly 4 to 5 hours a day and charge it only once in 4 to t days....and it also needs to be chargex for 2 hrs maximum2 BUILD QUALITY: the best ever quality anyone van get for a gamepad! Mine fell from my hands while i was standing on floor....yet only a minor scratches which are not even noticable!!!3 COMFORT: very much comfortable..light weight...enough rubber grip but more could be better...keys are also rigid...4 VIBRATION : vibration is not very much strong...but also not can be called average...but overall 10℅ less than what i expected5 VALUE FOR MONEY : rather buying a xbox controller i would go for this joystick n would buy 2 of them....a best product anyone can get in this affordable range.....thank you "REDGEAR" soo much for such a greate product...And a very worse delivery experience with the courier partner....the product was within my city for a week yet was shown held for clearence and when visited the courier office had to seaech it myself inside their warehouse for the product.....a very bad experience.....amazon should keep an eye on their partners!

IMPROVED VERSION // Compatible with Android TV and PS3 // Supports all PC games
This is the latest version of the redgear Gamepad series and the most advanced one in the series. They have really improved the ergonomics factor with the latest pro series. It is a wireless gamepad ,So no strings attached. You can rest on your couch while gaming. It uses 2.4Ghz technology that supports up to 10 meters of range.Watch the unboxing video in full HD here youtu.be/eiBFcROHvOAThis version looks a lot different from their previous gamepad. The quality and performance is also improved. The battery inside is Li-Ion.It will last for 9+ hours on a full charge and Just like quick charge in smartphones you would get 2 hours of gameplay with 30mins of charge. That's a very impressive and useful feature. The button layout is similar to an XBOX 360 controller and different from the previous Highline version.Redgear PRO gamepad is compatible with all PC games because of the X-input and D-INPUT support. You can also use this with PS3 and AndroidTv.----------------------------INBOX CONTENTS:----------------------------1-Redgear Gamepad2-Bluetooth dongle3-USB cable for charging4-Installation CD5-A quick start guide----------------------------BUILD QUALITY & DESIGNING---------------------------As I said ,the design has become more ergonomic. It is completely made of plastic although the sides ,where we hold this gamepad are rubberized. It provides a comfortable in-hand feel.Even though it consist of a battery, it is still very lightweight. The overall build quality is very good.In terms of visual appearance.the front section is matte finished. The Bluetooth dongle works fine ,Its small and nothing noteworthy. The installation and setup was very easy to go.It is very nicely illustrated in the quick start guide.I paired and connected this gamepad with my windows 10 PC and it works flawlessly. You don't to pair it again ,Just plug the dongle and press the home button on this gamepad and you are ready to play.---------------BUTTONS---------------It comes with 2 Analog triggers,2 analog sticks and 11 digital keys. The face buttons ABXY are backlit in different colors. Both analog stick feels much smoother now and are easy to play with. The DPAD buttons and the face buttons are slightly on the firm side.So it will not press by mistake. These buttons provide good feedback. All the buttons are very much accessible.----------------------------------------GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE-----------------------------------------As usual I tried this gamepad with PES ,my fav football game. And I have no complains.Everything works fine ,buttons are very responsive and well spaced. The sticks are much smoother than the Inline controller. But still these are not as good as the SpeedLink Controller I own.The Vibration is much powerful ,Although the intensity of vibration varies with the game scene. This gamepad worked just fine with DonBradman cricket, NFS, and Street fighter. The dual mode operation and the burst mode is very useful. You make use of the bursts mode by doing this: Press and hold the turbo button while pressing the button you want to bursts, For example : TURBO + X , will make X button in bursts mode.-----------------Battery Life----------------It will last of 10 hours as the manufacturer claims.I didn't test the exact battery life.In my 1 week of usage i had to charge it for 2 times only. Please note that I play PES almost every 2-3 days and Play it for 3+ hours straight .I can make a rough guess that it will last for 8-9 hours on a single full charge.Anyway the quick charge feature is a life saver.Even when the battery gets completely exhausted and you forgot to charge it.Don't worry .just plug it for 15-20 mins and you will get 1.5 hours of gameplay.I didn't test that feature though it looks promising. For a full charge you are required to plug this in for 5 hours (keep it overnight) .Am I satisfied with the purchase ?--------------Yes ,Absolutely this gamepad is good.Although I found that the wired version of speedLink is a better buy for this price.Because it is much better in terms of build quality and gaming performance.Anyway ,these are perfect as a wireless gamepad for this price tag.I have no complains at this moment but if I come across any ,then I would surely update this review. Thanks for reading my review.Have a nice day-Abraham

Great Product
I have been using this for many years now, I guess around 5 years, it has some wear and tear in the control sticks, but other than that, I still play games with this one. It is detected correctly in every game, and it has worked very well for me. Still retains charge after all these years. So all in all, a 10/10 product for me.

A NICE CONTROLLER AT WONDERFUL PRICE
This is Quite a good product. I removed 2 Stars for 3 Reasns.PROS1) Built In Battery and Charging lasts long enough. As compared to Original xBox controller, the battery compartment is not Outside.2) Wireless range is sufficient to play even in a Large room.3) ABXY LEDs Glows enough to play in dark and I suppose dont consume much power as well.4) Works at both XInpud and DInput Mode, and Switching in between is very easy and fast.5) D Pas and Left Analog can be interchanged quite easily just like switching the X and D mode.6) Works with MOST of the Smart Phones and tablets also without additional drivers.7) Works with XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 also ( Didn't tried with PS4 and XBOX ONE)8) Best in Price.9) Good Hardware Quality.CONS1) D Pad is Noisy.2) TURBO Button is quite slow which is quite useless as you can normally TAP faster than that.3)Disconnects even if a tiny barrier is in between Receiver. (If I plug it in Back side of Desktop, it wont catch signals properly. Wireless Signals Get DISTURBED Because of Other wireless Devices. ( I have a Bluetooth Dongle placed in nearby USB port and a Wifi Router both working on 2.4 GHz. Since the Receiver is also working on same frequency the controller gets disturbed quite often)4) DON'T HAVE AN AUDIO JACK like original and duplicate Xbox controllers.
