California TanColor Maximizer Primer Lotion, Primes Skin for Darker Results for Both Sunless & UV Tans, Cruelty Free, 6 Ounce

Being honest, I bought it because it was one of the cheapest. Ive previously used expensive creams from my tanning salon and Im fed up of paying out the money. I cant decide if this actually works or if I'd have had the same results using nothing. Being a clear gel, it doesnt tint your skin, doesmt prevent burning, and doesnt moisturise. But saying that, I'll carry on using it as I feel I SHOULD be using something before climbing onto the sunbed. A good cheap alternative maybe.

Product works well, but the smell is a little off for me. That could just be all tanning supplies for all i know.I apply this before spray tan sessions before i leave my house to save time when i get to the studio, plus, i think tanning salons are germ infested and poorly cleaned, so anything to limit my time there is helpful.Im 6'2", and id say this bottle would last me around 12 to 14 spray tans.

I'm a natural red head with fair skin. Since getting pregnant with my son 8 years ago, my pigmentation has changed greatly and i dont change color at all in the sun or even in tanning beds so I've tried every sunless tanner in the stores and even paid $60/ week for mystic tans. In an effort to save money but preserve vanity, I tried this lotion. I no longer need to pay for Mystic sessions! I save about $180/ month because one bottle of this last me about a month with application every other day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I have a Sunless spray membership, and I honestly cannot see a difference between using and not using this, it doesn't make a difference in color or development.

I used the VersaSpa product prior to this and it went on fine, but took FOREVER to dry. I like to go to the spray tan booth after work, so I put the lotion on right before I get in, and the dry time was too much, and if I didnt let it dry enough I would come out spotty. I don't have to worry about that with this product - the "lotion" is more like a gel consistency but it goes on and dries in a flash. I achieve the same results as with the Versa lotion - darker color, longer lasting, etc, but this is just easier to use and much less expensive.
