Linksys VLP01 Velop Dual Band AC1200 Mesh WiFi System | 1 Pack Router Replacement

Took me forever to finally figure out that the Mesh Velop NODE that I had before was actually fried. Light came on and everything but would not go off of red. Stupid jerks at Linksys said "sorry your support on that ran out, but that model is no longer covered. Get our new ones for like $400" - Annoying. Probably would've taken them like 5 min to figure out the old one was bad. Anyway, not going to spend a ton when I had another node anyway as a child node. It worked as the main node! So I bought this one to replace the other child node. It fired right up ... easily added it and am back in business for $19. We'll see if it lasts.

Good hardware and Theory but unless you want to take your time to really replace the firmware with something that's open source and handwritten by like a community is basically working together my DDWRT or open wrt then there really is no point for having me because they are just simple repeater babe I mean these for 20 bucks you can't beat that kind of price because of this is circuitry inside is well worth that

Seamless addition to my existing Linksys Velop mesh network. Easy wireless connectivity set-up extended my signal strength/speed to another room. The smaller size of this unit allowed me to fit it into a tighter shelf space. Would highly recommend as excellent value for your money.

Great price for essentially a wifi extender to a velop mesh system. Works as intended and was easy to integrate into my velop system.

I just bought a third one and add it to my existing two as a node. I have the 3 of them connected via ethernet, the performance and signal works great! They switch between the three of them while I'm moving around the house with no issues at all. Yes you can adopted them via wifi but if you are able to have all of them connected via ethernet with an unmanaged switch, you will not regret the performance, also I read that having a mesh system via ethernet helps the nodes work better and offer more reliable internet speeds which i can confirm is true. Might add one or two more.

Do not purchase. This product is no longer supported. Neither the Linksys app, web site or customer suport as avauilable for this product. Bought it to add an additional child node to my existing mesh network. It will not connect.

Hard to add to router

Easy ordering, fast delivery, and took maybe 5 minutes to install added Velops to my mesh network. Worked seamlessly and requires using Linsys online app. Nice important upgrade to my mesh network.

I can't say I'm impressed with the system as a whole. That said adding 2 nodes to my current setup did plug holes and made connectivity much better. Still seems slow to me but at least it's consistent now.

Gives additional coverage needed for wi-fi. No issues works fine.

NOT A UK PRODUCT (Not VLP0101 as it is Stated to be on Amazon and the order) This is the USA version and is actually dispatched FROM USA, TAKES AN AGE TO ARRIVE, NO UK POWER ADAPTOR . USELESS CANNOT PLUG IT IN. Not fit for purpose. Mis-selling!!! A complete and utter waste of time!

Even though in the description it’s written UK, The plug Is not UK standard (thus not UAE Standard) it’s US type of plug, Therefore, it’s not usable here in the UAE.

can NOT get it connect to existing network. No help from Linksys.
