It's not bad for 10 bucks but even with a powerful vacuum you can't put a lot of pressure on the brush since it's air driven, but enough to do pretty well on carpet, probably better on upholstery. The main issue is that fur quickly gets wrapped up in the belt and pulley gear teeth, causing it to slow down. The belt also seems to be too loose. If you're not vacuuming a lot of hair or open and clean it out frequently it does well enough. But it would be much better if the belt was tighter and more importantly, somehow stearate or protected from fur being pulled into it and jamming up the pulleys.

I love it!!! Works great on carpet and upholstery, including my cat trees. Four black cats create quite a furry mess and this is wonderful. Buy it!

This additional attachment adds extra power close to where it's needed. I use this for cleaning the edges of my area rugs, my upholstered chairs and sometimes hardwood floors. It picks up my dog's hair which is short and thick. Add this to the very strong suction of the vacuum cleaner and everything is, well, cleaner. Get it!

Purchased to get dog fur out of couch and pillows. The roller brush inside gets easily stuck and doesn't rotate. Because of this, you can't press too hard on it, so it doesn't get as much fur off. Better off using a flat suction extension rather than a roller.
