Did exactly what I needed it to do and cut through my walnut plywood with relative ease. Very satisfied and worth what I paid for it.

The item arrived on time, well packed and in excellent new condition. Had a whole kitchen full of cabinet doors to do. 63 Blum soft close hinges. I suppose I could have done without this tool and I almost did try but I'm sure glad I pulled the trigger on the buy. I built the shaker, overlay cabinet doors with Poplar frames which is a hardwood but not too much harder than pine. Nevertheless, I didn't expect the included forstner bit to survive the whole job. Not only did it survive, it's still useable now. Where I didn't make any mistakes of my own, I ended up with clean, well positioned, at the right depth hinge pockets with pilot holes for the screws. I got the job done at a quarter of the time it would have taken me had I not made the purchase. Even at minimum wage it paid for itself. Don't struggle without it. Recommended. Enjoy!

Great project piece a must have

The Kreg concealed hinge jig is a great choice and well worth the higher price. It looks and feels like a toy, but its so much easier than a ruler and Forstner bit. All you need is a good C-clamp and a decent drill. After a few practice cuts to dial in the setting it performs perfectly. The quality of the 35mm cup holes is outstanding and look professional. My only criticism is that the instructions could be clearer, especially when it comes to setting the hinge offset. I had to make several test cuts to figure out the correct adjustment. Overall, I highly recommend this jig even if you only plan to use it a few times and think it’s a worthwhile investment.

I have a dedicated machine in the shop for this, but sometimes it's easier fabricating a cabinet door in the field. Figured I'd give this a try. It works. Like the other Kreg tools I own it's a decent quality tool that's well engineered and simple to use. Dial in your setback on the rotating eccentric cams, clamp it to your layout mark and drill your hole. Doesn't replace a drill press or boring machine for multiple units, but real handy to have in the truck for a one off. Saved me a run back to the shop a few times already so it paid for itself in fuel.

Greg jigs just work. This was a real time saver. I had several doors I had built that needed concealed hinges installed and I wanted to be absolutely certain that they were installed correctly. This jig worked perfectly as I anticipated. $30+ was a cheap investment for the time and cost of the wood to build the doors to make sure they were hung properly.

Works very well. The edge adjustment is simple and secure. The collar that holds the bit seems flimsy since it's plastic, but I haven't had any issues with the bit staying stable while making my hinge holes. I didn't like the 1/16'' hole for the hinge screws, so I drilled them after with a centering bit and a square to ensure the hinges were straight on the door. You will need clamps to hold the jig as you drill though, so make sure you have something like a 6'' trigger clamp, or the kreg auto adjust vice grip style clamps. The 4'' inset from the edge also makes it easy to keep the hinges positioned evenly on all the doors.

Kreg doesn't disappoint. Works like a charm. The adjustment that allows spacing the hinge at different distance from edge is very practical. Would definitely advise to purchase.
