Q: What is the distance between the 2 prongs?

The distance between the two prongs is 1". The # stamped on my tool is 31116. New clutch works great.

Q: Does this clutch removal tool work on an Hasqvarna 435. Also what is the size of the socket needed to use the clutch removal tool?

It should work on any chain saw with a standard clutch assembly. The clutch removal tool requires a 3/4 inch socket or a 19mm socket. As both are the same size. However, to avoid stripping or damaging tool, a 6 point 19mm or 6 point ¾ inch socket are best. Please remember, this nut is removed by turning it clock-wise. It means it will appear you are attempting to tighten it. To avoid over-tightening your new clutch, once your new clutch is installed only tighten nut finger tight. When your chain saw is started, the rotation of its engine will tighten its nut to its proper torque setting

Q: Does this fit Poulan Pro PP3516AVX

Most likely yes. Poulon is a division of Husqvarna so the saws are very similar. I have a Poulon Wild Thing and Poulon Pro PP4218 and this tool does fit both of them. I hope this helps!
