This spy camera is not what I thought it would be. The picture quality is ok at best and can't record anything if it is dark or in a dim lit room and the motion detection is a bit hit and miss, the app doesn't work on all phones and the live streaming only works if your within 10 metres of the camera. Ended up purchasing a different product as this was a let down. Probably wouldn't recommend.

This spy camera is designed to function and look like a regular hook which you can hang light objects like keys, clothes, hats and many more.You get a card pin, a user manual, card reader, data cable, a screwdriver, 2 strong pastes and 2 screws. The spy camera has motion detection which can only be activated in the standby state of SD card recording mode. It can record 1080P videos and has two modes of recording; mode1 is (P2P) recording which you can watch on your mobile phone within 10m range while mode2 is recording on SD card.It also has 2000mAh battery capacity that can record 7.5-10 hours of video and the maximum load-bearing capacity of the hook camera is 2kg, so it is pretty useful to place in certain places in your home where you may need to hang your items.To get the full access of the camera, you need to download the sports camera APP on your mobile phone, connect to the spy camera’s Wi-Fi signal and then you can operate the camera on the mobile phone.The only thing that niggles me is that it was quite difficult for me to get through to a router and the device often experiences disconnection afterwards.All in all, this hidden camera hook can be pasted in any area at home, if you have strong Wi-Fi connection it works well and is reasonably priced.

Picture quality not great. Motion activation hit and miss. It's obviously a camera, in my opinion - it's easy to spot and stands out quite obviously to anyone who is at all tech-savvy.

This camera is rather good for discreet surveillance.You get the camera body, separate hook, two sticky mounts and USB card reader, plus a small screwdriver for removing the back. It's really good that the back covers the USB and micro SD card ports, power and mode button. You need a screwdriver to get to it, so taking it off the wall reveals nothing. You can't even see the kens through the front dark plastic.First start by downloading the "Sports Camera" app from the Android store (by Joyhonest). I didn't fancy using the QR code to download from the Chinese site directly. This allows you to connect to the camera when it's paired (by pressing the power button for a few seconds and having the switch in position 2). You'll get a live view of the camera up to around 20ft.Using position 1 of the switch it's in memory recording mode, where it can store files locally on the micro-SD card when it detects movement or on continuous loop, like a dash cam.It takes around 4-5 hours to fully charge, and can last up to 10 hours recording, which isn't quite as long as you may need if you're out for the day and want to keep tabs on a room in your house.Picture quality is rather good, even in the dark. Certainly good enough to catch incriminating evidence.

This Camara has to be turned on manually and goes to sleep very quickly. Not really fit for anything.

On it's own, it may attract some attention due to how big it is, however if you do hang a coat on it or something else, it will be more apparent that it's just a hanger.A couple of important things that sell this camera as just a hanger, you can't see the camera lens at all, it's really well blended in, even if you look closely you still won't be able to see through it, secondly the back of it, the sd card and charging port etc that would give it all away quickly should anyone ever pull it off the wall, it's all covered up with a plastic backing and a couple of screws, further giving the illusion that it's just a hanger.Now for the tech specs, it is a 1080p camera, which means it has around 2.1mp lens, which i found the quality to be more than sufficient for everyday use, it does have good low light adjustment so in general the video is always very clear. I will update this review to include a short clip of what a recording looks like.There's 2 ways it can work, either record everything to an sd card, or you can stream it from wifi, but that means you have to be close to the device and it won't record until you manually do it from your phone.The other modes are for recording options, like always recording or just when motion is detected.Personally i use it when motion is detected, no point having 4 hours of an empty room, that will also make the battery drain quicker.The battery life, for such a small device, i managed to get 9hours recording from it straight, i've only used it with motion detection and recording straight onto an sd card, so that seems to consume less battery and make it last longer, naturally this will be affected if you stream it all the time, but still impressive.Overall, it's a nice little device that will do what it's supposed to really well, it's also well priced for what it is and i'm happy with it.
