We have around 15 of these bubblers in our backyard and each output spigout should come equipped with a threaded cap that closes off any output. These bubblers are nice in that the flow control pieces are interchangeable between the different units. So while the green comes with 8 x 20 gal/hour control chips, you can swap in a red (10 gph), black (6 gph) or blue (2 gph) chip on any of the spigots. To be clear, each of the 8 output is chip programmable so you can have a 10 gph next to a 2 gph, for example.I probably wouldn't use these to retrofit your existing drip system but consider them when you are creating a brand new system. They are unobtrusive when buried so just the cap portion is above ground. Also don't over tighten the caps as there is a tendency for a crack to develop around the top edge when over torqued.My only reason to give less than 5 stars is these are hard to find at retail stores. You can't buy the flow control chips individually just the whole octo-bubbler. Online sales are not too bad but don't pay over $6 or $7 including shipping.
