Soldering required
Supplied as a kit of parts for two switches. They don't have screw terminals, just two solder tags to attach both wires, incoming live and switched live to the lamp. The neutral wire (and earth wire if present) bypass the switch. Some experience at soldering is recommended. The floor switches are more robust than they might seem at first and work well.

No directions and you need a soldiering iron to connect. Nice one!!!
Completely useless without instructions and necessary equipment one would not expect to need and I suggest not something for someone of my age who is not electrically educated

Working well
Would prefer a wago connection inside but it works. Seems durable and a good clicker.

Like To Solder?
2 Pcs in-Line Foot Press Switch.Decent quality and price, however you need to solder the connections. This isn't a big deal if you have quick access to the tools and materials to do this. However it's definitely not necessary, because most others available are screw connectors.

Cheap but not cheerful
This is the only switch in my 50 years of DIY in which I have had to solder the connections. There is no facility to connect the wires into the switching mechanism using a screw or other mechanical connection. The switch comes in pieces and needs to be part-assembled, and then the live wires need to be soldered to the switch mechanism - there's just two holes in thin plates to join onto. Loop the wires into the holes, and drop a blob of solder onto the spot to secure.Once this is done, the rest of the switch has to be put together. In operation, the switch works OK (so far). However, if you haven't got some electrical soldering skills and equipment, don't buy this at any price.

Not up to scratch
Nowhere in the description does it state that the wires require soldering to the switch. I do not possess a soldering iron and would have thought that the connections would be by grub screw or push fit as in modern connectors.
