Glow Necklaces

There are a hundred options for glow sticks available. This was one of the more expensive options, but I'm so glad I chose them. My package arrived faster than expected. It was stout and protected the delicate items inside. Additionally, there are three heavy cardboard storage tubes to keep them safe until ready to use. Each item has its own connector. The necklaces are double thick, and last 24 hours, although dim, they are still novel enough to use in the dark. The bracelets are still bright after 12 hours, but since there is less active ingredient in the smaller tubes, it stands to reason they aren't lit as long. Still do exactly what I'd expect. The kids love them, and I can find them at night at any outing we attend. Friends are so thrilled to get a set, it really adds to any nighttime fun. Bedtime with a glow stick is fun too, we stick them in the rafters of a bunk bed to enjoy. If they are stil too bright, we wrap it in a sheet first. Think 100 is to many? Nope. No such thing. Have fun!

These are not the fat ones these are thin. The short ones for the wrist, you have to really make sure you bend them into a circle hard, several times, squeeze them into a circle real good. The reason, theyre being short the tension on the holder/ring to attach the ends needs to be longer and if not bent into a circle the end will slip out of the ring. If the ring/holder were longer maybe not slip so easily. That is the flaws. They glowed for 8 hours, the first few hours they stay reasonably glowey, I know not a real word. So they do stay reasonably lighted and seeable.. Kids and adults like them and the Price is worth it.

I bought 2 sets of these to hand out during Halloween. The necklaces come in 2 tubes of 50, and the bracelets in 1 tube of 100. Out of the first set, about half of the first tube of the necklaces didn't work properly (half of the necklaces didn't activate), and several more were very dim after activating. The second tube was fine. Out of the second set, the bracelets had the same problem as the first set of necklaces.So when all was said and done, about half of the necklaces and bracelets (from 2 orders) worked great, the other half either were really dim, didn't work in part, or at all.If they all worked like the good ones, I'd have given a better rating, but by half of the product not working properly I essentially had paid double for it. Lesson learned... not much can be fixed with it now because Halloween is over :(

Product came exactly as described, on time, perfectly wrapped. The in-place connectors make them easy to close or string together. The colors were VERY vibrant. Used these at a wedding reception and all the guests (young to old) seemed delighted with them -- wore them on the dance floor and eventually waived them as we sent off the happy couple. The "glow" lasted for hours -- outlasting a lengthy reception. The wedding venue (like most these days) did not allow sparklers or much of anything for that matter -- but these presented a bright, happy wavering tunnel through which our Bride and Groom made their exit -- and it makes for dramatic photographs. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

We gave these to the Halloween trick-or-treaters, along with candy. The kids loved them. We did not activate the glow, or preassemble them. We just handed them the straight sticks., Our thinking was that the kids might not want to change the look of their costumes with a glow necklace, (Can you imagine a Darth Vader with a glow necklace? We did give a VERY short explanation of how to activate the glow and then assemble them into a loop to make a necklace. As it turned out, 100% of the kids immediately activated their own necklaces, and most of them had them in loops and were around their heads before they got to my driveway on the way to the next house. So that's proof they were a hit!. And easy to assemble. The kids did not immediately see the small glow wristbands, because they were in a small goody bag that we gave out with the candy. I bet they were happy when they opened their bags for the first time.I am only giving only four stars because although they started off with bright light, I felt they got dim too soon. Within an hour and a half they were very noticeably dim. Yes, as other reviewers said, they were still glowing 24 hours later. But the glow was so faint at that time, it really wasn't even worth mentioning. So the glow lasts a long time, but gets to dim after a very short time span.Because they were such a hit with the kids, I plan on giving them out every Halloween. I want to be known as the house that gives these out as a tradition, so that we get more and more kids each year! Since 100% assembled them as they were leaving my porch, next time, I will just preassemble them. But only 10 at a time, because they go dull so quickly.
