Ernie Ball Power Peg String Winder (P04118)

Works great - you could use a manual one, or this one - easy to use, looks like it fits a variety of tuning pegs, reasonably priced, uses AA batteries so no wall warts or cords, makes changing a full set of strings slightly less tedious if you're a bit lazy like me. If you're a tech or someone with a large stringed instrument collection, this is a must-have!

This string winder is the real deal. I have 27 guitars and am constantly changing strings. This makes the job so easy. You must buy one. Well worth the money and I have nothing to do with the comapany.

I've got 21 guitars and honestly wish I'd bought one of these years ago. I tried using a regular cordless drill with a bit designed for tuning pegs and it just didn't work. The drill was too heavy and the speed was too fast, even using a variable speed drill. This thing is designed by one of the industry giants and is perfect in every way. Lightweight and the speed is just right. I'm right-handed and I can easily use it with my left hand while guiding the string with my right. If it got lost or stolen, I would replace it in a second. Even if you've only got a couple of guitars and change strings a couple of times a year, it is well worth the cost and you will love it!!

This does ok for the value but I prefer my cordless screwdriver or my smaller variable speed drill. the speed here is almost too slow and the torque is not much. Probably as a precaution to keep from breaking strings. It works ok but I need a better tool for the multiple stringed instruments I deal with.

I just got done writing a review about how great Ernie Ball strings are! Now here I am writing this review about an Ernie Ball powered string winder! Ernie Ball strikes again with this device that makes changing strings much easier, especially when changing strings on 4-5 guitars at a time. Fits comfortably in the hand when using, and to me the speed of the winding is good, not too fast or too slow. Glad I finally broke down and got it, and you will be too!

Wonderful product! If you have a collection of guitars and/or basses, this is such a time saver. After decades of using a hand crank device, or just manual labor, this pays for itself in very short time when c hanging strings! I learned about the from a friend who is a luthier. You cannot go wrong with this!

I am a +50 years guitarist. Ironically, my prior Ernie Ball Power Peg String Winder [was red in color model] finally broke after 25 years of a lot of restringing of all my guitars. Well, this newer model has much improved all around. It is a product that any guitarist should own in their gig bag or at home. Works great, looks great and the brand, Ernie Ball produces all products of the best quality! Trust me, get one of these and you will be glad you did.

I've been playing guitar for a long timer, don't know why I never thought to buy one of these before. Great, takes the hassle out of removing and replacing a set of strings. Should make short work of changing the strings on my 12 string Takamine.
