Poorly manufactured, unusable due to excessive glue nearly closing two of the eyelets/line guides
Looks nice, packaged well, not broken, but unusable in the condition I received it.Two of the eyelets/line guides are almost completely glued closed. Just pathetic lack of attention to detail in the Chinese factory where it was made. I must admit that I missed that it was made in China until I got it.I probably would not buy a $110 fishing roof that I knew was made in China, and this one is exactly why. Why do I want a fishing rod that I can't cast with?I've attached a couple pictures of each eyelet that's covered in glue. I poked at the glue to see if it might flake off, but it is hard and VERY stuck there.Very disappointed in this and in my choice.

I think the Dobyns Fury line are one of the best technique specific rods at this price point!
I also own the 735c Mag Hvy Frogging, Pitchin rod. These rods are light weight and possess good sensitivity. I like that they're thinner at the start of the rod from the handle than other brands I have. This 703C seems more medium than heavy to me and I use it for Senkos and Texas Rigs. You could probably throw squarebills on this rod too, has a nice bend. These rods are aesthetically great as well. I have both my Dobyns Furry rods paired with Lew's speed spools that are black with green highlights like the rods are and these rigs actually look like they where bought as a combo. I can pinpoint cast with these set ups as well.My 703C rod was purchased on Amazon and sold by American Legacy Fishing Co.. They packaged it very well, heavy duty, safe and secure and I received the rod promptly. Overall very, very happy with this purchase and love this 703C.

Light, sensitive, power is spot on.
Like the rod, had it for a little less than a year but just starting to use it more this season. Very light, pretty sensitive. Finish seems like it's going to scrape up easily because it's matte, but no issues yet. Got the medium heavy power with the fast action at 7ft and it pulls a chatterbait well along with being sensitive enough for a shakey head. Would purchase again, 4 stars for fit and finish and because I have not fully tested its durability.

Great all around bass rod
Great do it all rod for the price, I wanted something primarily for TX rigs and jig and trailers, and this fits the bill. Good sensitivity for the price range, plenty of backbone, and fairly light weight. I've been using it for around 8 months and it's taken everything I can throw at (with?) it. Five star for the price range.

The Swiss Army knife.
My go to rod. Sensitive enough for finesse and enough back bone to throw frogs. If I only could bring one rod... this would be it.

Dobyns.
Great rod from Dobyns. I usually use their Champions series, but for the price point this is an excellent product. Has a soft tip and great sensitivity. Very satisfied
