Light Copper Match
Tourmaline is the ONLY color depositing shampoo/conditioner that I have ever found to match my hair, which is light copper gold. If i need a big boost of color, I shampoo first with a clarifying, then use GemLites straight from the bottle, followed by conditioner, of course. If I only need a little boost, I'll mix it with my regular shampoo for a muted application. If your haircolor is anywhere near mine...this is the ONE. I've been using this for about 4 years, usually about 2-3 times a month, and the product is consistent in formula and color.

Saves My Hair
This saves my red hair! As everyone with colored hair knows, it can be very hard to keep the color locked in. Between using this and washing my hair every other day, I am able to revive my hair. It helps too if you have hard water that washes out color easily and or if it fades while you are swimming.

Perfect for in between color
The stuff is amazing. I bought it for my daughter who recently did purple highlights in her hair after a month. The purple washed out I applied the shampoo to her hair. Let it sit for a few minutes and rinsed it out. It’s last another three weeks without having to get touchups.

Great color upkeep but very drying
Pictured: before photo of hair immediately after it was professionally dyed; after photo is a month later after my first wash using it, totally corrected any wash-out that had started. I found this awesome over professionally bleached and professionally pink-dyed hair. So I can add it to my bleach blonde for a brief couple weeks of blush tint or to an already pink started hair to make the color last longer. As I want it to fade out more and more you use a smaller and smaller amount. I have hair about two inches longer than shoulder length and I never use more than a teeny tiny drop mixed with copious amounts of purple cooling shampoo and / or conditioner. After letting it wash out as much as possible (about a month after last use) my bleach blonde was a sort of blush-champagne tint and it looked pretty fabulous even though I normally go for a cooler blonde. Only caution: extremely drying. Even using a teeny drop, only every other wash max, with lots of conditioner and leave in conditioner... my hair looked frizzier than I like. My hair still felt soft and didn't look terribly damaged or anything, but it was inarguably frizzy. I wouldn't recommend for routine year round constant use unless you are very very comfortable with a good hair conditioning / hydration routine as well. If I was using this more than just briefly for about two months a year? (And at my current "just a drop" rate, this bottle will last me... forever?) I would also have to get into a good hair mask treatment if I was using this all the time. Summary: works great for color, a little goes a long way, it's gonna dry out your hair so either use it not for a long stretch or pair routine usage with a solid repair and hydration routine too.

Coloring
I gave it three stars because it does collar the collar on my hair, look more pink and it burnt my scalp. I have never had a reaction to any chemicals on my head before. Make sure you wear gloves and do it in an area. You do not care if it gets stained.

Great for color sprucing!
This works as it should. The first time I used it, I applied it and let it sit rather than use it in the shower like a regular shampoo. I recently had used a rose gold conditioner from a natural honey blonde. It gave some dimension to that color with some almost magenta color. I painted it on roots and some layers and let it sit for about 20-30 min before lathering it in and washing it off. I would say it's more dark than light but I think if you use it as a quick shampoo it will be lighter deposit.

Better to lighten your roots for a more evened out look makes darker root outgrowth even darker
I have dirty blonde hair with highlights that were grown out and I really needed to get my roots blonde before I did this. You can see that my roots still didn’t pick up much color ..It works great and is easy to use , it does stain shower , magic eraser and cleaner helped with elbow grease ! It really made my overall hair darker , especially the natural dirty blonde part. It showed up great on the blonde vibrantly , you can see it on darker parts of my hair too it’s just more like burnt red brown .I applied a bunch of conditioner first then put some the purple wash in for only a few minutes and rinsed.Within a few washes the color lightened up a little and is blending nicely , but it def made my roots way darker .I am glad I left some blonde pieces out of the color all together to get a more multi dimensional look. I do like how it picked up on the highlight spots, and is darker on darker spots jsit wished I would’ve maybe choose the lighter purple option or highlighted the roots first !! I think there is a smoky lavendar or lilac that maybe would’ve been nice.
