I used these to make a hazelnut liqueur. Perfect for the job.

I had been looking around for a while for hazel nuts for my cook. Many stores locally just do not seem to sell them for some reason. These nuts are fresh and taste great. The price is reasonable for shelled whole nuts and they are much better than the nuts in the shell that I am used to in the past. There are no empty ones, no rotten or withered nuts. They are super crunchy and yummy. Not a bit of a stale.I love these hazelnuts to bake as well as snack on. These came well packaged and fresh. I do keep them in the refrigerator to ensure they do not become rancid over time.Love that they are organically grown and from Türkiye and non pasteurised.Due to the delicious flavour, in addition to snacking, I have started to use these nuts in my salads, creams, dressings, and plant based meat analogues as well as toast them.

So size wise you are definetelly getting good value l, however I had to throw away almost half of it because I roasted about 200 grams just to snack on unfortunatelly I gave up when almost every 10 th nut was a rancid one and if you know how these nuts are when they go rancid thee taste is unbearable it tastes wprse thn if it were burnt and doesen't go away easily and unfortunatelly even though most are ok there are enough rancid ones to put you off...also I might have just been unlucky ..do bare in mind that I went through about 200 grams and one in 10 is still too many rancid ones for my taste.

I expected the nuts would be deshelled only to find they were all in their shells. After hours of de shelling I am still a long way from completing. Equally many of the nuts when de shelled were bad.I admit those nuts that were not bad are delicious.
