Q: does it have zippered mesh areas to breathe or release body heat?

Some air holes but no mesh that I recall. Worked well at keeping me dry.

Q: Would the material hold up against the exhaust of a motorcycle?

Mototcyle exhausts are really hot! Especially from the manifold down to the bottom part that runs parallel to the ground. This raincoat has a rubbery /elastic plastic that protects you from heavy rain.... I would stop my bike if the rain is too heavy though. You just have to he careful to straddle your bike in a really wide stance to avoid touching your hot pipes. I hope this helps.

The rain suit has no padding. It is heavy vinyl with hood. Has some vents for air. We bought oversized to wear over gear.

Q: Is the hood large enough to fit over a full-face helmet?

I doubt it since it's made to go over your head..under the helmet. I'm sure it would eventually turn into a parachute if utilized in any other fashion.
