Wow! Awesome Read.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.I knew when I saw that K. Webster had a new duet coming out that I HAD to read it. Along with author Nikki Ash, this is a story that will have your head spinning but leave you wanting more.Talia is in college, living a carefree life and about to go to America with her boyfriend. When her brother arrives to take her back to see their father. She doesn't know why or what is going on and her brother doesn't know either or will not tell her.Kostas family is part of the mafia and they basically own the island of Crete. No one messes with them or their family. He is perceived as a monster. He wants people he has to deal with to see him that way too. So they will be very afraid of him and will not try to cross him.But when Talia's father crosses Kostas family, it is Talia who has to pay the debt. While Kostas's father doesn't tell him why he holds a grudge against her father, he doesn't see it as a hardship to marry her. She is beautiful after all. Will Talia and Kostas get married and live happily ever after? Will they learn the real reason his father hates her father? Will Talia be able to finish her last year of college? Are there any enemies of Kostas that will try to harm Talia? This story is filled with suspense, action, intrigue, lust, sexiness, and is fast-paced until the cliff-hanger ending. So sit back and enjoy the roller coaster ride that authors K. Webster and Nikki Ash have started and it is wide open. I can not wait for book 2.**Wicked Reads Review Team**

Romantic Suspense
Hidden Truths by Nikki Ash and K Webster is a romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Jeffrey Holz and Sarah Puckett. This is the first book in the Truths and Lies duet. This is the first book of Nikki's and K Websters that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. The relationship between Kostas and Talia is messy but you can't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life. The book ends on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book Stolen Lies to be released on audio so I can get the rest of their story.Jeffrey and Sarah did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.I would recommend this book if you like romantic suspense, dark romances, contemporary romances, arranged marriages, or mafia romances. The Flock TeamAudiobook Obsession Reviewer

This is a dark romance with some mob style violence
I don't often read suspenseful mob-type books these days, but anything that Nikki Ash writes is an automatic one-click for me. I have read a couple of K Webster books, and have enjoyed every one of them, so it was a no-brainer to pre-order this duet and have them delivered to my Kindle the day they were released!!Hidden Truths introduces us to Talia and Kostos, two very different people, who end up in an arranged marriage due to family crime connections. There is very little that I can tell you that wouldn't be jsut straight-up spoilers, but Talia is a sheltered, happy college girl, ready to finally pursue her theater dreams, while Kostos has been raised in the world of violence, mob hierarchy, and never taking no for an answer. These two are thrown together and must figure out how it's going to work when they are both paying for the crimes of their families. There are definite dark elements to the book, and an instance of rape, so if that is a trigger for you, please tread lightly, but also know that it is not recurring throughout the books. This is a book based on families of organized crime, and kidnapping, torture, and death are to be expected. This is not the type of book I read often, but I really enjoyed it! The story and writing definitely deserve 5 stars. Some of the content got a little hard to read through, but I am so glad that I did. This is definitely a worthwhile read if you enjoy suspense, romance, and some dark themes, all wrapped up in an achingly beautiful story.

“You. Are. Mine.”
Those three little words coming from a Mafia Prince are downright chilling. This is part one of the Truth and Lies Duet and it was phenomenal. I hated Kostos and loved him so much in this book. This book has so many twists and turns in it you’ll barely keep up! The secondary characters are fantastic, we get to know them and their inner workings to the main characters.Talia is a naive young innocent lady who has just been sold to a Mafia Prince to be married. She is frightened and very vulnerable. Her father is worthless and after his story is revealed you’ll love his justice! Kostos’s father is hellbent on making Talia’s father pay the ultimate price...to watch his daughter marry his enemy’s son. Nothing in this book is as seems, the good guys aren’t good and the evil men are truly only evil to the outside world. Talia will soon learn what it means to become a Mafia Queen and when she comes to power...This book is a duet, its not over in one simple easy book. No their story takes two and the ending in this one you will never see coming...believe me. I’ve already read the second book so when i tell you reading both books was worth it, i mean it. Both both books are incredible and for it being a duet it didn’t take as long to complete the duet as I originally thought. Quick read, very entertaining with an outcome you’d never expect! Loved them and highly recommend anyone to read them!

Mafia romance
Het boek is wel vlot geschreven en het las ook wel heel vlot.Maar er mocht en een trigger warning over het onderwerp verkrachting wat dus hier aanboed komt.Je moet ook deel 2 kopen om te weten hoe het verhaal verder gaat.

A lot of potential but alas
DNFed at 75%. The book had potential as it deals with rape. Unfortunately, the consequences were not explored in depth and I felt cheated.

No podrás dejarlo

Intriguing....
I am all for alpha mafia/mobster boss and Kostas was no exception. He was forced to marry an enemy’s daughter as payment for a debt or not!!! There is a twist to that part which makes this book even more intriguing and thrilling.I am also all for strong and resilient lead women but Talia is far from that because she was made to pay for her father’s debt by marrying an enemy and known mobster. Her life was turned upside down and she had no choice and can’t even make decisions for herself anymore. As much as she was endearing, she fits into her role as the mobster’s wife perfectly eventually even going as far as falling for him but not without some complications along the wayThis is more than a love story, it’s intense and lots of gory scenes that will have your tummy twisting. I love every page and didn’t want it to end. These two authors has produced a masterpiece. It’s one of my favorite books so far and can’t wait for the final book. It’s a must read
