SkyMallFreezer Cube 5 Tier Zip Lock Freezer Bag Storage System

Living in a studio apartment, space is limited, even in the fridge. Taking the idea of staking things to make more space, I bought this to be better organize. I took away 2 of the trays and had space to put pieces of salmon in the top one, 5 boneless chicken breasts on the middle one, and about 5 servings of ground beef on the bottom one. This made my freezer go from a headache/stress of running out of space to making the fridge even bigger. I loved this thing and the possibilities for it. I am considering getting a second one, which will give it even more storage space.

I should have read and measured the size. Each shelf only can hold 1 quart size zip lock bags, or the 32oz. size of IKEA, red zip lock bags. I wish it was able to fit larger bags. I make a lot of sauces and soup stock, so having bags lie flat for freezing is a must. I do not use the unit for storage. It is cumbersome in my freezer, so I use metal wire baskets for storing my many bags.The plastic is sturdy and easy to clean.

These will be great for freezing soups, sauces. Before I would take up a whole shelf just to lay out the unfrozen freezer bags until they froze solid. Not anymore. We love home made soups and sauces but cringe when its time to freeze the bags down. Not any more. This will save time and space. Once frozen I can put them in gallon sized bags and use these shelves again for the next batch. Thank you for this much needed product!

It is, as others duly note, small - perhaps smaller than it looks. But it was exactly what I needed. I turned it on its side to give a bit more vertical height, then threw out the little plastic shelves, and use it as a sturdy plastic "box" to store various flat items, vertically. It's top provides another flat shelf on top. Sounds silly, but this simple addition greatly improved the organization in my small garage-based freezer. No more fun times watching things slide out and fly across the floor like hocky pucks. :-)

I love this but would also like to have one for gallon sized baggies.
